Short story(not), My 1st born was graduating with her doctors degree and asked that I do a Texas BBQ cook for the party. (50 people), so I decided to use the BBQ Bros Rub for both the BabyBacks/St. Louis and the Brisket cooks. Had to do the cook a couple of day before the graduation, so I fired up the Smoker, and started the cook, 1st the 18 lbs Brisket (9 Hours) and the day later with 8 racks of baby back and ST. Louis ribs. Use two different rubs for the cook to spread out the flavors. Needless to say, it was a hit. Everyone loved both the brisket and ribs and did not use the bbq sauce as everyone was pleased with the native flavors these rubs added to the cook. No, Salt, No sauce, just the way they were. When packing up to head home, all of our meats were gone. Testament to flavor!

I received the Kansas City, Texas Style and California Style all are pretty good. It would be nice if it was possible to get a smaller size (like a sample size) that would allow one to taste different styles without getting such a large bottle. In case one style might appeal to my taste buds over another. Just a suggestion to consider for the future.

Got these during the lockdown...I like most people have been staying home cooking, avoiding public places, and dining out. Can't say enough about these rubs..I've used them on ribs, brisket, pork butt, and in a drunken stupor I put some on a jelly donut. All in all great taste, great value for the money...BUY THESE....although...not recommended as a donut topping.

These are very good rubs. I'm by no means an expert but they are all pretty close in taste with a difference in heat range and one has a hint of sweetness. If your looking for a very good, "Old reliable" that 99% of people will like with a very good familiar taste, these are it. if your looking for something unique, then I would check around a bit more.

I purchased both western and southern rubs and have tried a couple of them and they are a great add to the taste of turkey and ribs that I have tried. I am looking forward to trying the other flavors. It's been a great hit so far. They also have a great customer service as I had an issue with a couple of the rubs being lumpy and they are taking care of the issue. I would recommend these rubs to anyone looking for a way to enhance the flavor of their meat. Thanks Smokin Rick

I threw away this set and went through Amazon's chat support for a refund since this is non-returnable. The bottles I received all had Ethoxyquin listed as an ingredient and I was not comfortable with that. See pics.

I got the Western Style 3 pack for my sister in law for Christmas last year. She had a 7 bone prime rib that cost over 200 bucks that she wanted to cook for everyone for Christmas supper. Unfortunately, she purchased the roast the day before and didn't have the time or energy to fire up her smoker, so into the oven it went. It was rubbed down with the California Style seasoning. So here it is almost 5 months later and my wife asks me what seasoning her sister used on the Christmas prime rib. I now have the Western Style rub asst on order for us. I have a 150.00 Wagyu/Kobe Brisket I am going to use the Texas Style rub on as soon as I get the shipment...that is how much confidence I have in these seasonings.

I bought these as a birthday gift for one of my friends that loves to grill. I would consider her a grillmaster with a wide variety of spices and rubs. She called me to say she loved the California style and the Kansas City style rubs the most. She said they were both different from anything she already owned and would buy them again herself in the future. This turned out to be a great (and thoughtful) gift for a very special friend. Couldn't be happier!
