Substantially Built, Lowest price.
Try to find any ladder at this price point. And this one is 60" tall with 5 steps! The steps are wide as well so plenty of footing. It is very sturdy, comes with stainless steel fasteners. The mounting bolts included are for boat decking. I'm using it as a dock ladder so I purchased some stainless steel lags for the mounts on the inch and a half decking. The J hook and latch design are perfect as the ladder is removeable instead of fixed. Especially handy on a boat I'm sure but for the dock as well. We are in brackish water so I can put it out when needed and store it when not needed, it is very light weight making it an easy task. This ladder is perfect for my needs, sturdy and affordable.

Great Ladder
This ladder is strong and solid when put together properly. The deep steps and the angle allow for comfortable climbing and descending. Perfect for people who have difficulty getting in and out of the water from a pontoon boat. The five steps really help too.

With a 5-stop ladder, anyone can climb up our swim raft now!
We bought the 5-step aluminum dock ladder and love it! Some of our guests at the lake were struggling to get up our shorter ladder, and this solves the problem beautifully. Sturdy, made in the USA. The only issue was a lack of detailed instructions. I'm an experienced assembler, and was able to figure it out. But, it would have been helpful to provide a picture of each set of bolts and their purpose. For instance, customers may not know that the shortest bolts without a screw head on them are for attaching steps to the ladder. Or, that you'll need a 7/16th ratchet or wrench to tighten the nuts. And, the J hooks will need a small, 7/16 wrench to get to the second screw closest to the bottom, because a ratchet won't fit in that space.

Great ladder
Had a telescoping ladder on my pontoon but didn’t feel safe on it. Decided to go with the 5 step as a replacement. Couldn’t be happier. I’m 280 pounds and this ladder is perfect. Feels very sturdy and safe. I highly recommend it. Only “problem “ I see is it takes up a lot of room on your boat when it’s not in the water. I’m planning on installing hooks on the outside rail to hang it while not in use. But I highly recommend this ladderUPDATE….have been using it a lot and still have to say it’s a great ladder. Still very sturdy and comfortable getting out of the water on. Still highly recommend

just what I was looking for!
I am very happy with this ladder. Our deck is 6 ft off the ground. We have an above ground pool on the ground below the deck. We use to have to access the pool from the ladder that came with the pool which is on the ground. Our feet would track sand and grass into the pool and make it so you had to go down the stairs case n the deck and around the lawn. I wanted a ladder that I could just enter the pool from off the deck. I had trouble finding a ladder that was self supported only from the top of the deck and was long enough to go from the deck and down inside the pool. This ladder was great find! It is sturdy, long (5 steps), looks nice and is make of aluminum so it will last. And it was easy to build. It is built well and no sharp parts on our hands or feet or the pool! It does not need support from the bottom rails. It hangs from just the top of the deck. No matter how you attach the ladder to your deck always use the supplied under deck plate to make it stronger and no damage to your deck boards. It comes with everything you need! It even does well with guys that weight almost 300lbs! :)

Nice ladder!
Ordered on Monday afternoon from Recpro Marine and it was on my doorstep Wednesday afternoon!Assembly was pretty straightforward, which was nice considering the instructions left much to be desired. Took me about 20 min including digging out and putting up tools. If you're mechanically inclined, it's not a big deal. Hardware was all high quality stainless which is necessary to keep everything from rusting in the wet conditions.Tools needed:Phillips screwdriver or driver bit3/8" and 7/16"(11mm)socket or wrench3/16" drill bit*power drill or impact driver speed up the assembly process*Using this as a permanent setup on a dock. Felt a little chinzy when I got it all put together, but was impressed in how sturdy it was once I put it in the water. The angled steps make all the difference when climbing up and down. Had a 3-step folding ladder that made exiting the water feel like way more work than it should have been.I might add some extra u-bolts on the bottom support channel to help sturdy it up a little, but it will probably be overkill. It works great out of the box with just the included hardware.*If you want to save a few bucks, just get the 4-step model instead. I find that the lowest step isn't really needed*
