Well priced and easy to make!
My Korean Mother-in-law used to make this, and after she passed away I would often make it myself out of the loose roasted barley (boiling it on the stove). This tea is ground up and made into larger tea-bags; no need to boil, just throw them in and let it steep for a few hours either on the counter or in the fridge! Tastes great and very convenient.I have experimented a bit and I make it two-bags to one gallon; this is probably weaker than most would make it, but I prefer it more as a flavored water than a stronger tea (this is also closer to how I learned to drink it). Most of the time I will add one packet of "true lemon" to the gallon, which is equivalent to one lemon wedge; it gives it just the slightest hint of lemon. Lastly, I usually will add one small (traditional size) bag of hop tea to the gallon. I've got my formula down now, and it is affordable, refreshing, and delicious!12/12/18 Followup: I still give this five stars; now most of the time I just make it a straight two bags (already attached to eachother) to one gallon and I don't add anything else. My kids have started to drink it and also love it; natural and no calories!

🍵🌾Really Delicious🌾🍵
I am not a coffee drinker. I don't like the taste, but I like coffee ice cream, go figure? I had barley tea in a restaurant and really enjoyed it. In my search for a comparable flavor I came across this one and it's delicious! You get a lot of tea too. I generally cold brew these in mason jars. 1 bag is meant for 1-1.5 qt so I tuck one in a wide mouth 32oz jar and it's perfect! I've also used the same bag to steep again (up to two more times) and while not as potent as the first steep it's worked out well for me. Love this tea! 🌾🍵

I have ordered this barley tea many times, and I love it.
I was dumb enough to drink energy drinks every single day for six years. I also drank a lot of sugary beverages like grape juice. Anyway, it destroyed my health. I did some research online and found out about barley tea. It kinda tastes like tea. It kinda tastes like coffee. It tastes sweet, so no sugar needed. And it doesn't have any caffeine in it at all. It's addictive. And it's easy to make. You just put one pouch in a pitcher of cold water and then put it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Then remove the tea bag. I often drink it cold, but sometimes I put it in a cup and microwave it for three minutes. And other times I microwave it for four minutes and add some almond milk to sweeten it a little. It's really delicious. It's about the only thing that I drink now, besides water. I totally recommend it.

No More Dry Mouth!
This is a traditional summer drink for Japanese laborers. It is absolutely the best thirst quencher I've ever found - especially for "cottonmouth" after using cannabis! Nothing but roasted barley - no sweeteners (not needed) or other ingredients. My wife and I are medical cannabis users and drink it all year long. Excellent value, just steep1 bag per half gallon water in the fridge overnight and it's done. Delicious also - tastes better than it sounds.

I never tried mugicha before this, but was watching 'Japanese style originator' on Netflix and it was recommended as part of an episode on items that cool Japanese people off in the summer 😂 I thought I'd give it a try. I cold brew coffee and green tea, and the theory is the same here. Not knowing what to expect for taste, it comes out like a more watery cousin of coffee and hot chocolate, with a slight burnt note. Not unpleasant! Yes cooling in the summer! For this price, worth the try. A different reviewer mentioned there is no way to reseal the bag, the whole package can just fit into a gallon ziplock to solve that issue.

I honestly don’t even know what this is
Note- I LOVE barley tea, usually drink a few cups a day, I’ve had it hot brewed and done the leave it in the fridge cold brewed. This stuff tastes like nasty watered down coffee, horribly bitter, no earthy barley taste.

Great buy
First off, this is a LOT of tea. We're talking, the same size as a costco box of protein bars, lot of tea. Each pouch makes about a quart (or, if you're an idiot like me and leave it to steep for 3 hours, more like a gallon) of tea. Unless you're making a TON of barley tea, this will last you a while. But that's fine with me, since 1. I do guzzle way too much barley tea, since it doesn't have any sugar or caffeine in it and I find it much more refreshing than water, and 2. it's got a good toasty flavor, actually a better flavor than the other brand I bought before this. If you like barley tea, this is a good buy. If you've never tried barley tea, though, probably get a smaller bag of it.
