as it turns out this is the best harness I have ever purchased for my cat
I was initially worried about this harness being too big for my adventure cat, as it turns out this is the best harness I have ever purchased for my cat! Positives: 1. It does not have to slide over his head (which he doesn't like) 2. He doesn't mind this harness going on at all 3. We have camped, hiked and adventured in this harness and it fits him comfortably, but has room for him to grow 4. I don't have to worry about him slipping out of the harness (huge relief!) 5. The lime green color is super fun. Currently I don't have any down sides to this harness, glad I did measure him before I ordered it! I love the adjustability of the harness! My Sinbad is one happy hiking adventure cat with this harness!!!

Works for cats
Good harness! The small fit my 11.5-lb fluffy cat well. The fact that it's adjustable in three places is very nice. My kitty hates getting into the harness and act awkward at first while wearing it, but once we get outside and something catches her interest, she's able to walk and maneuver apparently comfortably. Important tip for use with cats: stay behind the cat when you're holding your leash. When I stood in front of the cat, in a position that would allow the leash to pull forward from the cat, my cat was able to scoot backwards, sliding out of the harness while my pressure on the leash slid the harness over her shoulders and head. In other words, never allow the leash to pull in a forward direction from the cat's perspective. If you end up tugging on the leash at all as the cat moves, the leash should be going backwards, in the opposite direction the cat is facing, so the harness stays against her chest and shoulders.

Excellent
This is the best harness I've ever used on any of my dogs.Positives:1. There's just enough mesh covered padding to cushion a hard jerk when my dog tries to take off after a squirrel or rabbit. Most of the other padded harnesses I've tried have had thick foam and/or wrapped around the sides. They were just too hot to use on summer days.2. The adjustable neck and rear strap combine to make an almost perfect fit on any dog. This harness doesn't slide around easily and it's almost impossible for my sneaky little beagle to back out of it. I'm ordering another in the large size for my Terrier/Blue Heeler mix just because of this.3. I love that it has nylon straps with plastic clips over top of the velcro fastners at the neck. I've always worried about velcro wearing out and letting my dog pop free at the worst moment. I may never need the extra security, but it's a nice touch just in case.4. Good, strong seams. My little guy is seven months old and completely hyperactive right now. Over the past month he's tugged on this harness harder than I'd expect a dog twice is size to manage, probably hundreds of times. He runs in circles leaping through the air, dives and rolls on the sidewalk, gets tangled in bushes, and basically is a menace just due to excess energy. And this harness still looks almost new. It's a bit scuffed in spots, but no threads are popping loose and the straps and clips are still in great shape. We take him out so often that we just leave this on him from breakfast til bed time and I think it's in remarkably good condition considering that fact.Cons:noneWish List:1. I wish there was a model of this with the neck a bit lower in the front, maybe in more of a V shape. My pup is absolutely squirrel crazy. It's like a short circuit in his brain that I haven't managed to train out of him. And that means he'll sometimes hit the end of the lead at a full run and still end up coughing a bit due to the top hem smacking the front of his throat. It's nowhere near as bad as it would be with a standard collar or the last two harnesses I tried on him though.Overall I rate this a must have for pretty much any dog. It's better made and a better design than other harnesses that I've paid almost twice as much for.

The best puppia harness!
The large fits my 20lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel very well as he has a deep chest. The medium also fit but I didn't feel it was long enough for him. It's really nice not having to pull the harness over his face and ears! I prefer this version to the original. He seems very content wearing it for walks and car rides- so much so that he tends to pull a bit while wearing it- he doesn't pull while wearing other types of harnesses. There is a big difference in each size. The small, medium, and large are pictured.

So comfortable
We bought this harness for our Shih Tzu puppy because of the quality of another Puppia harness which he had outgrown. That one was not adjustable, so we went for this one because we can adjust the straps both around the neck and the chest. He doesn't even seem to notice that it is on! Even though it is a little tricky to put it on him because he is a wiggly little guy, I would certainly buy it again. We had bought a brand at Petco first, but he hated it. Then came the Puppia, and he rolled over and fell asleep as soon as it was on. This is the first one we bought; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KWN2RK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_ik4Nv2r4gnVMm.Either style is great for a dog which has a trachea near the surface, typically in dogs with shortened snouts.

How all Puppia Harnesses should be....
I really liked Puppia harnesses for my pug puppy, but as an adult he eventually outgrew even the largest size. I now have a Cavachon puppy (which is a much more petite breed of dog), but surprisingly the neck hole of regular Puppia harness don't fit her. It's like they changed the sizing for only the neck. The chest is strap is HUGE, but the neck hole is too small. This harness corrects that with the adjustable neck hole. It doesn't allow for a lot of adjustment, but at least allows for some. The small size regular Puppia harness doesn't fit over her ears (at least not easily), but with this one adjusted the same size small fits fine. I wish they had this 5 years ago for my pug puppy.

A lovely Harness and a very good fit for Dachshunds body type .
These are so nice and comfortable fit on my miniature dachshund, I always have trouble getting harnesses to fit correctly because of their deep chests long bodies and short legs. But I am very happy with the fit of this harness, it's nice and soft with no areas chafing under my dogs chest . I wish I had brought these years ago , I find these harnesses to fit my dachshunds body shape far better than the K9 Julius harness and my little ones are far more comfortable in them as lighter in weight and softer. Very happy. Also on this harness the neck adjustment was really good as my now 14 year old dachshund is a bit thinner round the neck a very useful feature as you dont have to pull the harness over the head .

Awful seller
Order harness. It was faulty. Sent it back. Waited for refund but didn't come. Contacted seller for refund. Seller (Chris) said there was nothing wrong with product and said there was no outer bag so he would charge me for return postage and for plastic bag. And he did! The laric bag was cheap, nasty and logo free. Worst amazon experience to date. When I said I would review him accordingly, he said if I mentioned it in a review he would do me for slander. I have the messages!!!

These are the best harnesses for Pugs that don't like having a regular harness pulled over their head. Wide enough in the chest and body that it suits stockier dogs, and the adjustable side/neck straps means its good for growing dogs as well. Our Pug had one of these as a puppy, in the medium size, and it lasted him from 6 months up to 4 years - we've only replaced it now as it was getting old and the dog has got a little round.

TOO HOT
I bought this for my pug as I thought it would be useful for her shape. However the amount of double Velcro generated by the adjustments made it a very thick, hot harness. She was so distressed I bought a different type that day and gave the Puppia to an animal charity. It would probably be fine for a standard shape dog.

Better custom fit
I bought this as I like the idea of the neck being adjustable, its the same excellent quality you'd expect from Puppia. It has two leash rings, one in the normal place you'd expect which is the perfect location for underneath coats/jumpers etc and one further down the back. I bought this for my Jack Chi, who currently wears an XS soft harness, this only comes in a small, that I can see, so its too big for her right now but I anticipate that this will be her "forever size" as her chest measurement will slightly outgrow the XS. I knew this would be too big at the moment but like to have thing to hand and ready to go when needed, the small is still small so I suggest checking the measurements o the Puppia Website, as a lot of smaller breeds may still need the next size up. I can't wait to use this for her as it really gives great adjustability around the neck
