144 vibrant colors-- be sure to prewash!
It's amazing that all 144 colors are rich. A few are NOT colorfast, as a soak in warm soapy water revealed. I wanted choice for my tapestry weaving, and this fits the bill. The fiber is not the highest quality, but adequate for weft. I removed the cardboard center, washed, rinsed, dried, and wound them on floss bobbins. I plan to store them on rings by color group.

The quality is definitely lesser than the crochet thread you'd get from DMC, but the quality is good for the cost and quantity of different colors.

rip off!
What you see is not what you get! You will not get the assortment of colors shown, I got tons of greens and almost no purples. You will get multiples of some colors. The quality is not comparable to brands like Lydia, South Maid, Red Heart etc. (this is made in China). It is NOT colorfast & is only 2 ply, sheds lint. Do not invest a lot of time to use this for thread crochet, it is more suitable for general crafts or for the kids to use to make little bracelets, string art or something like that It will wear easily, break & colors run if you use it for embroidery. It comes in a plastic bag, so some of the spools, which have flimsy cores, will be squished & the thread will be coming off them when you get them.The biggest rip off, as you can see, is I randomly picked a spool and wrapped it around a yard stick. It wrapped 35.5 times, so the total yardage of the spool is about 35.5 yards, but they tell you 47.5 yards per spool, so you are getting ripped off for about 1728 yards of thread you will not be getting! That is a substantial amount and makes this a total rip off as that yardage they claim is a BIG lie!

Worth the purchase
Step or two below the high-end stuff, with no duplicated colors. Thread is clean with no flaws or knots.Used for thread wrapping instead of crochet but had little trouble with it kinking. Lays very nicely.
