I bought this to help students with pronunciation practice. It is definitely for intermediate to advanced leveled esl students. The audio discs are very helpful as you can go play the audio and the students listen along to complete the various exercises in the book. You will need a disc olayer as most computers these days no longer have a cd rom drive, so remember to get a small radio eith disc player

Logical progression of material presented in appropriate sized sections. Good examples and well described mechanics of sound form. A very good resource. It might be useful to put some notations down that emphasize particular trouble spots for particular native speakers such as V for Spanish speakers.

The book was used but it good conditions

Compré este libro por sugerencia de mi maestro de English Pronunciation , cuando lo compré en clases escuchábamos los audios- CD por lo que nunca había sacado en 2 meses mis CD de mi libro , ahorita teniendo más tiempo , aproveche a escuchar los Cd audios en casa pero resulta que los CD no traen completos los CHECK YOURSELF !! Se salta demasiados ejercicios, el caso es que hace dos meses compré este libro y ahorita como todas las compras creí tenían 3 meses para devolver ! Pero me di cuanta que ya está cerrada la opción de devolver. los Cd están incompletos y no me sirve así el libro !!🙁Sugerencia 1ro. por lo que sea revisa , aunque trabajes , tengas niños o te pase como a mi, que en clases nos ponían los audios y en casa no necesitas escuchar el audio, revise los CD porque puede que te salgan malos como ami.2- no deberían cerrar las opciones de devolver en menos de tres meses , por lo menos los CD los deberían aceptar devolver ,cuando estos están mal grabados como es mi casa! entiendo el libro no pero los CD los deberían permitir devolver en 3 meses .

To bay the book and this CD's, The book and CD's are made to teach you the English pronunciation but you can use them to improve your spilling skill by hearing the word and righting it while you see it in the book for two or three times, thin do the same with closing book.Brief note, this CD's are deferent from the CD's were come with the book, The book CD's are just for practicing. Therefore they aren't include lessons word. So If you want to improve your skill you should have them.

I have the previous versions of this book and I have used this for over 20 years now. It is one of the best and easiest pronunciation books on the market. Easy to use with students and it gives lots of practice. This book started out as 2 books for Spanish speakers to learn to pronounce English...one book for Consonants and one book for Vowels. The writer then merged them 2 books into one and made it for International speakers. BUY THIS BOOK!
