No sand needed. Use yard edging bricks.
Found a much easier and cheaper way to fill them. No sand, no mess. $1.29 yard edging brick from Lowe's. Fits great and does not tip over. Velcro straps were to long but I just cut them down. Great for the price.

Perfect addition for our beach canopies!
The media could not be loaded. I’m watching everyone’s canopies and umbrellas fly into the ocean while my family and I sit under our two secure canopies thanks to the canopy anchors!! Although my brother felt like he was cheating by using these I can attest to the fact that they were totally worth the money. Although they were cheap in price they are not cheap in quality. The heavy duty strap at the top makes them easy to move and maneuver. The Velcro straps secure perfectly around the poles and don’t budge. I’m glad I bought a set for myself and my brother. Highly recommend.

A lifesaver!
I live just off the water and experience 40-50 mph winds routinely. No matter how sturdy you think your gazebo is, a strong wind will treat it like a sail, and you’ll lose your investment. I erected my new gazebo in March of this year (pandemic boredom; way to early to do it) and added the weights (filled with sand) to the legs. The storms have raged and the winds have blown...but my gazebo is still standing.

Impressed with the quality of these weight bags
Ordered these bags (80#) for an event tomorrow. Pleased with the fast shipping. Bags appear very durable. Filled them with sand today and their first use will not be until tomorrow.Followed another reviewer's suggestion and put sand first into quart-sized freezer bags (I wouldn't recommend using lighter-weight storage bags), then filled the weight bags with the bags of sand. I used four quart-sized bags in each of the four weight bags (total of 16). I decided to do this because I thought the ziplock bags would keep the sand from getting wet, particularly if a dog decides to hike his leg on our canopy poles.

Works really good for the price.
know there are probably more expensive ones out there but these stood up to some high winds at a Corpus Christi, TX. beach. I was actually pretty impressed they held up. I laugh at some of th negative reviews on here. I think people expect these to last thru a hurricane for under $10. They do what they are supposed to do.

Great option
Bought these for a 10x20 canopy and secured the 4 outer legs. Worked great in holding them down. I used 4 ziploc quart sized bags in each that I filled with play sand. Made it easier to transport and kept the sand completely dry with some rain we had. The product is a very sturdy material well thought out. Pleased with my purchase.

They Rock... (and not just 'cuz I filled 'em with rocks)
Took the advice of other reviewers and used gallon freezer bags and got pea gravel from HD... bought 2 bags of rocks which gave me a little extra for another project. With 2 plastic bags just under half full plus a 3rd one even less full I was easily able to shape them to nicely fit into each weight bag and fill it just to where I could still velcro the top closed. If you fill the freezer bags very full you won't be able to manipulate them into shape properly. I estimate they are about 15+ lbs each. If I ever bother to weigh them I'll update this.Kind of wishing I'd got the double bag style but since I don't plan on using my canopy (10x10 Walmart) in bad weather or at the beach I should be ok. If issues arise I'll probably just get another set of these... But I don't anticipate that.To sum up, I'm a "Happy Camper" after my first summer of using these.*** In the middle of summer #2 and they are still going strong. FYI, Canopy is up in the backyard most of the summer... everything stored inside during the off season.

Work well
This really stood up to the test. Our canopy didn't. LOL We used these on an EZ-Up with two per leg. We used that many because where we live, the wind can be truly wicked. They did hold the canopy in place until a particularly bad wind came through. The canopy went kaput with the upper part twisting to a point that we couldn't repair it. But we have our weights waiting for this summer and the next canopy.

Be warned, the dimensions are not as described!
I ordered the medium height bags which have just arrived and first of all, I have to say on first inspection, they look reasonably well-made from reasonably sturdy material. However, the width of these bags is nowhere near as described. They are sold as having a filled diameter of 9" based on the photo in the sales literature. From the photos I have attached, you can see that they are probably half that when open and only 7" when flat. I now do not know whether to believe the maximum weight in the description and I suspect that the double-bag products being sold on Amazon will probably have a greater overall capacity. Given that I did not receive what I was sold, I am giving them 1 star and now pondering on whether to send them back. I have to say that I'm very disappointed.

NOT 112lbs!!
Buyers beware that these gazebo weights will NOWHERE NEAR come up to the advertised 112lb. Just over half that weight max.I bought them specifically for the extra capacity after dismissing many much cheaper bags which it turns out were of similar size.Quality of the material was good I must say, but had to return and look for something heavier. Very frustrating when items are misleadingly described.

Affordable
Needed something to weigh my egg chairs down and although they say gazebo I took a chance. They are great for underneath the chairs across the legs so glad I purchased them. Did need to put my own sand in.

Closer production line for correct stitching off Velcro
Velcro doesn’t work on all bags tops for secure bags from opening up, which is very disappointing considering how these are to keep all elements of weather out from filling. Perhaps a closer eye on production line would end this problem

Well made and holds approx 8kg of sand
Good quality material/stitching/velcro and really pleased now I've been to the hardware store and bought a 40kg bag of building sand for £3 to fill these baby's up...they are holding nmy gazebo in place nicely with a good 8kg of sand in each one.
