I bought these for all of the adults in my classroom. I work with high schoolers. Sometimes high school students fight. I’d rather not have to physically stop an altercation. I’m hoping a very loud whistle would be enough to startle the kids into separating. I’m really hoping I never have to find out.These are very very loud. Not quite as loud as a lifeguard whistle, but pretty close.

These are pretty colors and lightweight, but the black one doesn't work at all, the blue one works a little, and the other ones seem to be loud and work fine. Not worth sending back for 25% defective, but still a little disappointing.

From the title, “ extra loud” whistle , I would believe it would to be, extra loud. I’m not expecting something to be heard across the ocean but at least a few more decibels louder than a regular whistle. For the price I paid, I’m not upset. I’ll keep them but for now I’ll be on the lookout for a louder emergency whistle.
