Keep Looking
I purchased this laptop and for about 2 weeks, it worked great. Defintely a lower end product. But for $330 what can I expect? I gave it 3 stars before, but a day after I submitted my review, the machine would not turn on. The keyboard is spongy, feels cheap. It's SLOW. Ok for watching TV and movies if streaming, and if checking email, basic stuff. But if that is all you are going to do, get a chromebook.I am sending this back; thankfully I didn't have any documents or important information on it yet. Not worth the money. If you can go $100 more, you'll get a way better 2 in 1. Go with the Lenovo Yoga series. I purchased one yesterday-it's AMAZING. Feels nicer, looks nicer, faster, just. Better. I purchased the Lenovo at Best Buy on sale. Well worth the extra $100

Pretty good for a laptop/tablet hybrid
At first, I wasn’t too interested in getting a laptop/tablet. However, my sister’s first laptop was a Dell Mini and, if it wasn’t for the speed, I would have been interested in getting one. I saw this at a local store and decided to research it.Yes, we already had Samsung tablets. However, considering the fact that the entire tablet is a touch screen, you can, accidentally, touch the screen and throw off the navigation. We already had 15” laptops. But, comparing using this to using a 15”, this was much easier to handle.I could only find one speed test online. But, it handled 1080p video with relative ease. It seemed rather impressive for a small laptop. Furthermore, Intel seems to have made great strides in their Celeron series because this performed far better compared with the Mini (mind you, the Mini was back in 2009 and it had an Atom). One quirk I found was when I was upgrading to Windows 10. The upgrade went successful. But, I had no control over the brightness setting. It was staying dim. When I came back from work the next day, I connected the laptop to the internet and let it upgrade itself. I don’t know which upgrade it was or just the fact that I did a Dell System Detect. But, it resolved the brightness issue. The one downside I’ve found is when I tried to upgrade my hard drive. I had a 1tb I was going to use to replace the 500gb. When I put the 1tb in, the screws wouldn’t screw down all the way. Furthermore, when I put my laptop back together, it was bulging. I made sure the laptop still worked before I completely put it back together and the bulge isn’t affecting performance. The bulge is so gradual that you’ve have to look at it from the side to even notice it anyways. Occasionally, the keyboard doesn’t want to work. But, that problem is intermittent. I’ve ordered a 7mm, 1tb HD on Amazon for under $100. This does mean that I’ll be spending a little more on a used, $270 laptop. But, I think the investment outweighs the extra costs.

I don't know which is worse, the computer, or the customer service!
This is my first laptop, and I've had nothing but problems with it! It came with the windows 8 OS, and I immediately upgraded to windows 10. I kept having problems with it locking up and also not being able to sign in because their would be no cursor, or the keyboard wouldn't work, or the virtual keyboard wouldn't work. Some of the problems I blamed on windows 10, but when I went back to windows 8, the problems persisted. After calling Dell numerous times (and being on the phone 1.5 to 2 hours at a time) most of the problems were fixed. Then, it locked up again. This time when I called, the tests showed that the hard drive was bad. Dell sent an empty box for shipping, with everything included (shipping label, foam, and felt bag) - it was returned approx. 2 weeks later, but it wasn't wrapped in the felt, it was wrapped in a plastic bag. And it wasn't placed in the middle of the foam, it was on top. Now the top of my brand new computer is scratched! Today, Dell was suppose to call to resolve this issue within the 2 hour window that they confirmed yesterday, but they didn't! VERY FRUSTRATING!

Good computer for the price.
Well, I have mixed reviews about this computer. Therefore, I will just list pros and cons.Pros:LightweightInexpensiveComfortable sized keyboard for female handsPretty fast computer (aside from when I had downloaded supplemental virus protection. The free 20GB of dropbox was a great perkCons:Tablet mode leaves the keyboard exposed to damage/moisture. I thought the keyboard disconnected from the screen, but was disappointed to find out it didn't.Touch screen is unresponsive during games.Took me forever to find where games were that I downloaded. If you download any virus protection, the computer slows beyond usability.ENDLESS updates/notifications of updatesMy screen brightness currently is locked on full brightness and won't allow me to turn it downOverall, I am confident I made the best purchase in this price range. I recommend this computer.

OK So Far, Thing is, I Have Hardly Used It
so far it is ok, i have not really used it much at all, a few problems so far, webcam (which is a HUGE reason i got it) does NOT work on facebook!, ohhhh that made me mad. anyone out there know what i can do to make it work? another con so far, my wireless us cellular internet device, which works perfectly on my older dell laptop, needs to be reinstalled EVERYTIME i try to get online!!! this a HUGE pain in the you know what. and irritates the CRAP outta me, the OTHER reason, this BRAND NEW laptop is just sitting and gathering dust, while i continue to use this one. HUGELY disappointing, as this new dell is pretty useless to me for my needs right now. to be fair, facebook told me my webcam is too new, and facebook is not compatible yet, so that is not dell's fault. the internet device, i cannot explain, if someone out there can help me with that too, it would be MUCH appreciated, as my data usage gets wiped clean with each reinstall, making it IMPOSSIBLE to tell how much i have left for the month, and going over leads to INSANE overage fees.as it is, this laptop is pretty cool, i just can't really use it yet. so, only 3 stars until i know more, which HOPEFULLY will be soon.
