Also a great ZESTER!
This little gadget it not only a terrific ginger peeler, it is the best ZESTER I have ever used!!! The ergonomic handle and compact design make it easy to use AND to clean! Love it.

Good but not perfect
I like the handle on this, it fits well in the hand. The peeler is great and works really well. The grater itself is really small which makes grating a little awkward though it does get the job done. I do wish that the grating area were just a little bigger. Overall, this is a good tool and I'd recommend it because it's hard to find something that works well for ginger. This one is good but not perfect.

Grates Ginger Dust
We have a microplane grater that we use for cheese and ginger. We thought that this would be a quick, simple solution for grating a little ginger into a drink. Wrong! Unlike our microplane grater, this little grater makes dust and requires precision work on the small grating surface to do it. It also is dangerous to use to peel ginger, as the peeling blade is dull and doesn't cut easily; same for slicing ginger. Overall it is unsuitable for the stated purpose. We returned it.

Good peeler.
This ginger tool works well for peeling and grating. I did not find it simple for slicing.

The only way to grate garlic
I absolutely love this little grater. Of course it's considerably more work then your usual garlic press but the results are worth it.First of all, all of garlic gets used up, no more wasted product. Second, garlic comes out smooth like puree, no bits and chunks, which means I can add it to my kid's food without any worries. Third, the clean up is a pure joy. No more standing there with a toothpick, picking stuck chunks out of the press (again, no wasted product). You just run it under the faucet and done. The only problem I'm having is securing a tiny garlic clove between my fat fingers, occasionally it does slip out but that's my fault, and i may just resort to using a fork or metal toothpick to hold on to it.Can't wait to use it as a lemon / orange peel grater for my desserts, but my next hope is that I can finally grate real ginger and stop wasting money on tiny jars of prepared one.

Clever
This is quite clever. I can peel and cut up ginger pretty easily (considering it’s pretty uneven in growth). Just a great little tool when you need it.
