PARAMED Digital Body Oral Rectal Underarm Thermometer

I went through two of these. When I got the first one, it would consistently read my temperature over 99 degrees, while a regular mercury one had me around the normal 98.6 mark. The strange part about this thermometer though is that if I watch it increase the number as it reads my temperature, it will slowly creep up until it reaches that 98.6ish point, getting slower the higher it gets, then suddenly when the beeps start to indicate it's done, it jumps up 1-1.5 degrees out of nowhere. It's like it's reading the temperature correctly, then at the last second randomly jumps up. I don't understand why it stops at the number that it gets to when it's slowed down all the way. So I returned that one, thinking it must be a defect, but the second one does the exact same thing! Since I'm using it for bbt when I'm half asleep and it's dark (so I rely on the recall) this is useless to me.

This is the 2nd thermometer made by Paramed that I ordered. Same problem as 1st one...dead on arrivalAlso ordered a BP monitor made by Paramed and it worked for 3 days then gave me an error 2...had to return also.BEWARE OF THIS MANUFACTURER!

I've only had this thermometer for a couple of months. The first time I used it, the numbers became difficult to read. I used it again recently and the first time the temp would read 98.6. I took a second reading not even 10 seconds later and it showed just over 100 degrees! I freaked out thinking my son was seriously ill. I took a 3rd temp after another 10 seconds and it went down to 97 degrees. I knew at that point this thermometer was a waste of money. Dont buy it! I wish I could get my money back for it, but my return window is closed. :(

I ordered one of these thermometers, and it never did beep, no matter how long I waited. So I exchanged it for another one. Unfortunately, the second one didn't beep either, so I am also returning it. I'll try another brand.

Very easy to use, the flexibility is fantastic especially for kids who squirm and don’t like getting their temp taken. I’m not super confident in the accuracy. Sometimes I get off the wall readings on the ‘first’ try. I always take at least 2 readings on my kids, they’re never the same so I kind of take an average. Very easy to use and well made, just not 100% confident on the readings

Totally inaccurate by 10 degrees. I tried on the whole family. Threw it away so we wouldn't accidentally grab it

Does not produce the same temp with every reading. Also, just before it beeps it'll show, for example, 97.7, and after it beeps it jumps up to 99.5. I'm not sick. I tested it on my daughter and it did the same thing with her. Maybe we just ended up with a defective one?

I used this thermometer then went to the doctors office, and my temperature was more than 1 degree higher at the doctors office than what this said, only 45 minutes later. I was not sick, I had a blockage in my ear, so my temperature should not have been any different. Not very useful to have a thermometer that doesn't tell you the correct temperature.

The temperature keep changing everytime you use it like the weather temperature

The product is fine, not sure it is worth the listed price though.
