I really want to love this lock... but....
So let me start by saying I had really high hopes for this lock. I really wanted to love it. It has everything that I wanted: physical buttons, app controlled, passcodes for friends, etc. However, there are a few issues with the lock and I just cannot give it a glowing review. The App: It's called "BLE Smart Lock". It's very generic and looks like it probably works with a bunch of different Chinese lock manufacturer's products. The only place this app name is given is in the printed instructions. I couldn't find it anywhere on their website. There's nothing in the app that says "Signstek" either. Also the advertised features are not present. This lock promised the ability to create codes to share with friends but there's no way to do that that I can find. Also there's no way to see a "log" of activity which was also promised. Basically the only thing in the app is a single button for lock/unlock, and you have to be within bluetooth range. Pretty disappointing as the passcode feature was one of the main reasons I bought this lock. The Install: Installation of this product was fairly easy. Especially if you've installed any sort of smart lock before, very straightforward. Just make sure you get the locking lever set correctly depending on which way your door is facing. Test it before you screw it all back together. The only thing that got me tripped up was that there were instructions for "changing the master passcode" which is 0-0-0-0. But the lock wouldn't let me change it, and I was worried someone could walk up and enter my master passcode to get in. But this is NOT the case. The master passcode only works when the door is open/unlocked, so no one would be able to change any settings without already being inside. I guess this might be a concern for contractors, or AirBNB guests or something. Just something to note. The Lock: One of the disappointing things about the lock is the poor quality of the key tumbler. The handle and electronic part of the lock are very premium. But the tumbler (locking piece where you put your key) is poor quality. The lock actually started malfunctioning on me, and would get stuck halfway through unlocking. So I was trapped outside a couple times. Come to find out, it was actually the locking tumbler that was binding up and getting caught. I took everything apart, and sprayed a bunch of silicone lubricant spray inside the tumbler mechanism. This made everything so much smoother, and there was no more binding or catching. Works perfectly now. But kinda sucks that I had to do this - it should have come better lubricated so that people don't get locked out.Customer Service: I tried to contact the manufacturer about the issue above to see if they had any solutions (before I took the lock apart myself). They never responded. Not a single email. 0/5 for very poor customer service.Overall: If you're looking for an inexpensive lock that looks nice and has a few modern features, go for it. I don't regret buying it. Just make sure that you're willing to fidget with it and you might need to take some things into your own hands to figure out if it goes wrong. Not for the complete smart lock novice. Also - since basically none of the app features are present... you might as well look for a cheaper model that doesn't advertise these features... or just pay top dollar for a known brand unit that does actually perform these functions as advertised. Hopefully they will update the app and enable the features promised, because the hardware seems totally capable.

I did not like this lock
I ordered this thinking I could program it with the app on my iphone. The only option I see is to unlock the door. The app says it locked the door but actually unlocks it. It is reversed which is not a problem. The problem is that I can not understand the directions and they are out of order and apparently lacking info. This is a major problem because anyone can unlock the door by pressing the factory default entry code so I need understandable directions for changing this. There is no phone number for support so after trying to read their "ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics" for an hour, I am tired of trying to decipher their meaning with my psychic powers. The lock unlock feature is probably reversed because it's set for the wrong type of door. If this is true then their directions are reverse because I followed them step by step. I am completely over it though and don't see the point in uninstalling it and trying to put it in the other way because that isn't even the thing that makes this lock unusable for me.

Worth the savings!
We just bought a 2 story house with our main living area upstairs and can never remember if I locked downstairs or not. Now I don’t have to worry about it with the app. There wasn’t many reviews and was cheaper than the rest so I took the chance and it works great. To the other review about the unclear instructions, the basics are the same of any keypad entry. Yes you can Delete the original codes, and i also ran into the lock setting up to unlock when I pressed to lock, but I realized that the first “programming step” sets up to whether it locks or unlocks so the lock can go either way. If you mess up press the reset and lock/unlock it (I forgot which one it is) and retry the first “programming step”

Eating through batteries way too fast.
Bought this for the look, which is nice. It's sturdily built, and it is easy to program and totally functional. The profile on the inside of the door is smaller than some, which my wife wanted. Unfortunately, it seriously eats through AA batteries -- need to replace every month or so, on a door that barely gets used. I have a hunch it's the Bluetooth functionally, which is frankly worthless -- if you thought, like I did, that it might be handy or nifty, it's not. You have to open the app, while you're standing right next to the door, and then you can press a button to unlock or lock. By that point, you might as well have keyed in the code.

Good starter not quite smart home lock.
Works as intended. Provides button push access to front Door. Two issues: the blu tooth function only works within 6 feet of the door, so it’s not really useful for, say, unloading groceries, but it will work for unlocking the door for a guest from the couch. The second is that I live in a humid area, and the door can warp just enough to keep the deadbolt from engaging all the way. If that happens the motor stains to engage the lock until you turn the deadbolt manually. Not a big issue.

Great lock. Message them on Facebook for the app download
Keypad works fine but the app is not on Google play. Message them and they will send you a download. Once you have it it works great. I am very pleased with my lock

Bluetooth connection, not so great
Overall this is a great product; easy from installation to pass-code setup. I don't care too much for the Bluetooth connection with the app. Most times I have to refresh the app in order to unlock using my phone. I really hoped this feature would work for me being that most times I arrive home with multiple packages, and need to unlock the door prior to approaching the door. I plan to move this device to one of the back doors and replace the front door lock with another device--still looking.

Not happy
Works but too well. I bought 2 of them & sadly every so often they both arbitrarily beeped 5 times driving my puppy nuts. Have a different brand & had same in my old house & never had that, I got these for their bluetooth. I've tried contacting customer service too many times to count multiple ways & no response. I think if I were to do it again I would spend a little more for a different brand that doesn't beep all the time.
