Will this work on a Windows XP

It works on my Windows 10 and yes it works on any Windows pc

does it work on win 10

Yes it does. You will have to set up a Steam account.

Is Ship Simulator Extremes (PC CD) an actual "stand-alone" SIMULATOR....or merely an extension or add-on for such an independent simulator program?

No. It is not a stand alone. And so far I have not been able to make the connection to Steam. I can not recommend this item.

Does it take Windows 10?

yes!!! loads onto steam gaming platform that works with windows 10...fun game!!!

I just wasted my money (not worth sending back)

This game requires a Steam account and the installation of their DRM crapware. Steam will not connect. Game will not install. Do not buy this. I just wasted my money (not worth sending back). It's going in the trash. It's a shame they bought into Steams crap DRM, as the demo looked really great.

I can't recommend this.

Not a stand alone simulator. And there appears to be no longer any support for this simulator. I have always gotten an unable to connect try again later message.
