If you like putting stuff together, it's kind of fun. This is better than paying I think it's like 200 for a new Lexus key, getting it cut and having it programmed.It was hard to get the key out of the original casing that has to be screwed in. Then it was difficult to get the key down into the new key enclosure. I used a jewel wrench to squeeze it down in there. You have to or the holes won't line up, and you can't close the shell around the key. But when you get it in there, it's snug, even before you add the screw in the back.I don't think it can be done with hands. There are some that click together, this one with the screw is super secure.It doesn't have the Lexus emblem on it. Which I'm mentioning because I ordered another that had the key and you add the programming part and get the key cut, but it looks like an actual Lexus key casing. I think this one is more secure than that one though.

My old key case was very delicate due to age, and this worked really well to revamp it. I will say, getting the key blade in the case is very difficult. Be prepared to fight it a bit. Not sure if it's the casting but it's very tight.

The fit is okay. The 2 sides do not seal 100%. There is still space along the sides after tightening the screw. Let's see how long this one lasts. The other one I bought from a different supplier had the Lexus logo on the key fob. This one does not. The other one broke after a few months of use. Let's see how long this one lasts. For now I give it four stars. If it breaks fast I will lower my rating to 1 star. I gave it a 4 star because it does not seal completely, as I described above.

These work very well and need no modification. Will buy again.

On the cheap side, they fit okay.

I was surprised these work as well as they do. I fixed my Lexus key just fine, but you have to have the key blade from the old keyParts were a bit misaligned but workable.
