Teraflex Dana 44 HD Differential Cover Combo - Includes Pair of Teraflex 3990650 Dana 44 HD Differential Covers

Item is as described. Money well spent!

I ordered this item because the description and the photo listed this as two Dana 44 differential covers for $97.00. My jeep has two Dana 44 axles. When the unit arrived there was only one cover in the box. I installed the first one that afternoon thinking that the second one was on its way. I realize now that this was a mistake.Later that evening I e-mailed the seller, Internet Sales Inc., asking when I could expect delivery of the second unit, their response was to tell me that they had made a mistake on their website by listing the item as a pair and that they were sorry and would be sending me return instructions. I told them not to bother because I had installed the unit already, once again my mistake. Also if I were to return the unit I would be throwing away $40.00 worth of differential fluid and friction additive.They did however offer me a 10% discount on the second unit, this was more insulting that anything else. I did not take them upon this and ended up purchasing another differential cover from another manufacturer, poison spider, it was actually $5.00 less and the quality vastly exceeds that of the tereflex, everything from the unit itself, to the mounting hardware, to the fill plug which on the tereflex uses a hex key not the 3/8ths square receptacle. Also the poison spider actually comes as a complete kit, as shown in the photo including a tube of sealant.The fact is that I would not have purchased the tereflex cover knowing that I was paying $97.00 for one unit. $97.00 for two seemed reasonable but definitely not for one. Anyway I am stuck with it now and I have learned a lesson.It should also be noted that this item is now being listed as 1 unit for $189.00, Tereflex you really need to cut ties with these folks they are not doing you any favors.

Apparently the teraflex is known for under rated bolts that ship with. If you torque them to 35lbs then there is a good chance you will break a bolt. I torqued mine to 30lb and ordered new hardware. Also, the cover will come just lower than the stock diff so if you are worried about it handing up on a rock then you may want to grind that down (I've read they fit perfectly on teraflex axils).All in all I love the look and feel of the covers including the dual fill plugs to get the right amount of oil in there.

These covers look great!! It's amazing how thin the factory covers are, these should come standard on all Jeeps from the factory!

Covers are wonderful, fit great... but ... immediately all the black paint fell off exposing bare metal...

Love how these look on my jeep, brings a lot of attention to my jeep
