Boom, the bombdigity!
Reviews made think twice, but everything about the description sounds right. Here's the deal. Most, if not all the negative reviews, aren't about this nozzle, it's about the reviewers water supply.I bought this because I have a need to do a lot of heavy hand watering while seed germinate and plants/grass establish. This was a huge surprise. It's awesome.Basics: it's HD, very smooth to operate and durable. It's big too, but that's a plus.Beyond that if you have the water flow (volume), the right hose size (diameter to move as much water as possible) and water pressure (can't do much about most of our municipal water supply pressure) this thing is like a fire hose. The volume of water it can move is insane. With good pressure, that heavy volume can be delivered easily 20-40 feet away. And the best part is that adjusting it from a more narrow to wide spray pattern (for close and far away adjustments in the fly) is really easy one handed so you have the other hand for the hose.If you use a small diameter hose or don't turn the water supply up high you can't get the pressure or the volume of water to the end of the hose. What you might find is that depending on your supply, if it's like ours when there's a lot of use going on the pressure to your house drops. If that's the case, of course you can't get the same results from this nozzle. I have other nozzles that will work better from a pressure standpoint in those low pressure cases, but they can't deliver even close to the amount of water. The key is using a bigger hose (I'm only using 5/8" diameter and length is from 25' up to 100' garden hoses with no issues) just don't use the little coiled hoses or small 1/2", they can't supply the amount of water the nozzle can move. Also turn the water supply all the way up, open that sucker up and get as much water to the nozzle as you can. The more the better and then you can control how much you're delivering by adjusting the nozzle. If you have low pressure water supply this may not be the right nozzle. Imagine if you connected a fire hose to your house and you had to put out a fire. The water would trickle out. Connect it to a hydrant, and you have enough water and pressure to blow up a garden hose.Keep that in mind when reading the majority of the negative reviews. This nozzle is great, if you have the water supply and pressure. Most residential water supplies should do just fine.

Looking Forward to Many Happy Waterings
Based on my initial impressions, this is clearly a first rate hose nozzle!I did a lot of research before purchasing this nozzle. I considered both trigger style nozzles and fireman style nozzles. There are a lot of nozzles available for purchase on Amazon with many five star reviews. However, if you actually read the reviews, you will discover that a lot of the customers received the nozzles either for free or deeply discounted. That is a red flag to me despite reviewers' claims to give an honest opinion.Previously, I have owned several nozzles including those made by name brand companies. I have had considerable problems with the trigger style nozzles including issues like: handles that crack, leaks, triggers that jam to the extent that the trigger cannot be squeezed. Most recently, the jam issue occurred with a Gilmour nozzle.I rate products on the following criteria: build quality, performance, durability, value per cost and customer support. This Dradco nozzle is a winner based on all of my criteria with a hopeful positive status for durability as I only just received it. However, the lifetime warranty indicates to me that the nozzle should last. Everything else about the nozzle is top notch. It has considerable heft due to the quality of components. It operates very smoothly with a nice variability of water flow control. It completely shuts off with no leaks. I also received an email from the company offering to resolve any issues.Overall, just very impressed with the quality and value!

Big piece of hardware but functions well
I love this nozzle, like I would a hard-working mutt dog. It's bigger and heavier than I expected, super solid. I have large hands and it sorta does make me feel like a fire fighter. I'd call it beautiful if it wasn't so bulky at the end of my skinny hose. That's not a complaint, I am using it everyday, but for small handed/armed folks, the weight may get tiring if you have a lot of watering to do. On the other hand, the functions are easier to perform (require less force) than any other nozzle I've had. That is, when you turn the main body to sharpen or spread the water flow, it turns super easily. And the shut-off toggle is solidly made and also easy to turn. You can also turn the flow off by turning the main body all the way to left, but that takes a couple of turns and chances are you want to keep it at the flow you like and just use the toggle. This is a nice feature. It doesn't have all of the variety of a gun style with all the settings, but who really needs all that. You can adjust this from mist to jet, done deal. Haven't had it long but it'll last forever, I can just tell. I've wrecked lots of nozzles dropping them, driving over them, just using them for too long, but this solid, well-constructed nozzle will be able to handle my abuse. And the force of the water just depends on your water pressure and hose--this nozzle will make good use of what you give it.
