I lost my original cap and it is not so easy to find the proper part for replacement
This is the cap for the Vandoren V16 Metal with Optimum ligature. I lost my original cap and it is not so easy to find the proper part for replacement. One well known wind instrument dealer told me that it is not possible to buy separately, but that you need to buy a kit with the ligature and cap. But I can tell you this is not the case. Also, I contacted the factory about how to buy the cap and they never responded.So this is the exact factory replacement for the Metal version of the V16, used with the optimum ligature.It costs more than I thought it should, but then again it completes a $400 mouthpiece.At first I thought it should be made of metal, for the amount of money. But I suppose that the plastic will not scratch up my gold plated ligature.

Habe diesen Artikel für ein alt Saxophon gekauft - den wir für kurze Zeit ausgeliehen hatten, dabei ging die Schutzkappe beim Schulunterricht verloren. Ich habe dies als Ersatz gekauft - da sich niemand beschwert hat bei der Rückgabe - denke ich sie ist in Ordnung.
