Wonderfully well made.I bought this leash for my Greyhound because her white hair sticks in the nylon leash I have. When we take her with us to a restaurant, it looks gross.It turns out there are other benefits to a leather leash. It is much softer in your hands and the large loop easily fits on my arm when I am scooping.As the leash weighs more, it stays in one place and doesn’t get tangled up in my dog’s legs. Greyhounds hate that!

ProsLeash appears to be a rope encased in high quality leather. So its a very flexible and light like a rope, but nice and soft like leather. So durability should be good.ConsLeash is just a tad too short, needs to be maybe 6" longer like other leashes. I also prefer carabeaner hooks rather than these old school clasps.If they fix these cons then the leash would be worth this price.

This is a very nice sturdy quality leash. The leather is soft and flawless. I would imagine that this leash could last a lifetime. It is a little bulkier than I like but I will keep it as I am very impressed with the quality.

As the other reviewers have suggested, this is a classy, classic leash, made of premium materials. I have owned this for quite a while now and it remains in perfect condition. It is expensive but worth it because it is clearly made to last. Also, generally no one cares about or notices leashes when you are walking your dog -- except this one! You will actually get positive comments from time to time because it is clearly so well crafted compared to regular "off the rack" leashes. The rolled, rounded style makes it very comfortable as well.

This is just a great leash. The rounded shape is so easy on your hand. It is a substantial piece ofLeather work and looks great on my black and tan Doberman. The brass hardware is simple and elegant. if you have a dog that occasional tugs you, a rounded leash makes all the difference on your hands. I bought this leash with the leather choke collar. My girl is still a puppy and she tugs a little as we start our daily walk but soon looses interest and is becoming a great walker thanks to this combo. We log in two to five miles a day. My leash is two months old and looks brand new. If you want something that will last for generations, this is your leash. It is a beautiful leash and nice to know people are still building things that last.

I picked up 3 of these leashes from Warehouse Deals; price was unbelievable; but the leash is BETTER than the price I paid. I have 2 large dogs that tend to pull a liitle when being walked. After training, they walk well on a leash, but because they are coonhounds, their nose tends to drive them as we walk.These leashes are strong, yet remain flexible. Think of your standard leather leash, and stitch an additional layer of leather over the leash; and this describes this leash exactly. High quality construction; solid brass hardware, and VERY comfortable on the hands.Highly recommended if you have larger dogs.

Never intended to pay so much for a leash, but if you average the life of your dog it's only pennies a day. Beautiful, durable, comfortable leash. Love that it's rounded, so if dog pulls, it's much easier on your hands. It's truly a fine accessory. My husband has large hands & mine are small & we are both very comfortable using it. We keep it out of our pup's reach on top of a cabinet, since I'm sure she'd find this very tasty! If you think how much you usually invest in several leashes, this more than pays for itself. My Gia will never need another leash & black is always in style!!
