I just wanted a set of cheap paint brushes and these seemed to have good reviews so I bought them. I'm pretty happy with them. All the ferrules are securely attached to the handles, and I haven't had any issues with hairs shedding thus far. They are pretty easy to wash; I like to hang them upside down to dry (I have a rack you are supposed to use for drying makeup brushes but some of the slots hold these just fine) to keep the ferrule in the best condition. (An alternative is to lay them flat on a paper towel.)I've been using these in jewelry-making projects. I've recently started working with some copper and I've been trying various finishes, colors, and patinas. There are these pretty colored paints from Vintaj that will adhere to metal so I have been using these brushes to apply the paints as well as the sealants/finishes that go with the paints. These are great for that. I am working with small stamped and embossed blanks mostly, thus far, so the largest brushes here are suitable for applying the paints to the metal -- I can get the entire blank covered pretty quickly. Or there are some smaller brushes if I want to do fine details. I've also been using them to apply a sealant to the back of copper jewelry to prevent skin discoloration.Anyway, I was balking at the cost of some of the nicer sets of artist's brushes, especially since I didn't know for sure I would continue with the finishes, colors, and patinas. I was only just trying them out to see if they are something I would like. (As it turns out, I do like this particular craft quite a lot. But when you are just getting started, you don't always want to choose the highest tier item because you'll be stuck with it if you give the project up.) But these were inexpensive, well-made, and effective for what I wanted to use them for. If/when mine eventually wear out, I will probably just buy another set of the same type of brushes.

Got these for my daughter apply her allowance make up! They worked great and didn't looks whole bunch of fibers like some brands.

I bout these 5 months ago and was thinking of writing a bad review because the number two flat brush barely lasted a few weeks. The bristles frayed and the shaft cracked and fell apart. I was needless to say rather annoyed, but partly because I liked the brush so much. The whole set is rather versatile and I find myself using every brush. The round brushes are good for painting details and all of them can do rather small ones. The flat brushes are great for painting lines (or doing something like a checkerboard pattern) and the large brushes are great for base coats or doing terrain. While the #2 flat died, the rest are all still in good condition and for less than a dollar a brush, these are pretty amazing.One thing I would reccomend on the small round brushes is that they tend to have a few strands right at the point that aren't strong enough to hold any paint and just kind of tickle the model with errant paint. I just cut the last half milimeter or so off and they work great. I would reccomend this for any warhammer painter- for the price of one Citidel brush, you can get two packs of these.

I used them an hour after they arrived, and again later on.For facepainting: they're soft, the tiny ones work really well for detail work.For acrylic paint on stretched canvas:When I clean them in the cup of water, they take quite a bit of swishing to get the paint off (paint is still wet). They hold a lot of water, I feel like natural bristles don't stay so wet for so long. There is no wedge shaped brush unfortunately since I needed one for the painting I did tonight. But the small brushes work really well. Personally I feel like the bigger brushes could be better. Maybe if they weren't as flat they would hold the paint better. I'm not a pro though so take that with a grain of salt.Overall, good value, better than expected for the price. Did not lose ANY bristles yet on any brushes and I used every single brush today. That's a big deal bc usually my cheap brushes shed like crazy.

This brush set was a great buy for the price. I feel that the metal that holds the brush heads in place could have been clamped more securely and evenly, but that may just be my picky side piping in. The package was squished and crinkled in shipping and as a result a few of the brush heads were a bit misshapen, but a good use and wash fixes the problem, so not too worried there. The hairs on the brushes themselves were pretty standard and had a good feel to them but as with any lower priced set, are nothing to rave about. For the money, this was a worthwhile purchase, but if you are looking for top shelf quality, look elsewhere. These are basically the poster child for mediocrity in the paint brush world. They will get the job done, they might even last for a reasonable amount of time, but they are by no means what I would deem 5 star brushes. If I was rating on price to value alone, they would get 5 stars but I have to include in my thoughts all the other brushes out there that are possibly higher quality and similar cost. If you are just beginning, or are doing some sort of art that takes a toll on brushes, i.e. letting children use them, these are great. For clean lines and fantastic brush stoke follow through, they are simply ok.

Standard basic inexpensive brushes. Great value and good for those beginning and novice painters who are not fussy over brushes.

Perfect product and easy to use. Many choices during artwork to work with which is great. Highly recommend

Very nice and elegant set, the feel of the wood itself is quite nice and the bristles are very soft. I left the brushes in water overnight by accident and the glue is still holding strong, no issues what’s so ever love it!

These are good to have as a back up paint bushes. They were cheap but better then I thought they would be.
