Crystal clear water is always good to have in the garden pond but the downside is that the fish were easily seen and picked off by the heron.I opted for the black dye as this suggested a mirror finish and dark looking water. In addition, it can also reduce algae buildup as the light does not penetrate as much. Clear instructions are included based on how much water your pond holds.The results are superb. This was my first time using a pond dye, I'd always had natural ponds before but i wanted that glossy mirror reflection for my new wildlife and barrel ponds.You only need a small amount, i used 10 drops in each pond so the bottle should last well into next summer with regular top ups.As you can see it gives a lovely reflective appearance to the water and hides any bricks and plant pots inside the pond.I definitely recommend this if you have water in your garden.

works even in tiny ponds. Comes with recommended dosage and measuring spoon. Very economical with smaller pond. if you had larger area I'd go for the powder - but according to other reviews that can blow everywhere.

I used 2 small bottles last year in my largish pond. put it in as soon as it started to really warm up, and went the whole season without suffering from the usual plague of blanket weed. the man who looks after my pond's filtration system suggested it. It works! you can still see the fish, and everything looked great. Have purchased the large size this year because its more cost effective.

Rather unrealistic shade of blue which made the fish look a rather odd colour but didn't have any effect on blocking out light to diminish blanket weed growth as I'd hoped. I'd had a similar product recommended on Gardener's World but it looked too artificial for me.

I bought this liquid dye for my pond that is approx. 2400 litres, as it always kept getting green algae which was also bad for the fish. I added this about 3 weeks ago and no algae and the fish are loving the clear water.It also looks good with the sun reflecting off the water and the fountain and against the plants, also you only use a very small amount, so I have a few years supply with this 1Ltr bottle.

Love this product! So easy to use and instant results. My little pond was instantly a mirror reflective again.Brill stuff and the effects are long lasting. One application done and still going strong. Bonus is there is no algae at all
