Easy to install and uncomplicated to operate
Easy to assemble and has a part that allows the maximum hot water temperature to be adjusted which is very useful. It can be adjusted to allow maximum hot water temperature although it is recommended not to exceed 120 degree F. It has a very nice appearance when installed. The trim seems a little thin and I would have liked something a little more modern but the price was right. My shower was roughed in and the builder installed the mixing valve so I had to match the valve (Moen 2580) to the trim kit. This trim kit was the most reasonable price I could find, everything else was a least 4 times the price. Since this is in our room above the garage we opted for this kit. You can buy the kit with the shower head and valve or without the shower head and valve or without the valve. Men support is very helpful. When matching up the valve and trim kit make sure the holes line up. These kits and valves come in different configurations. My valve had holes at the 7 o' clock and 1 o'clock positions. The valve type is a Posi-Temp and is M-PACT compatible (Moen features).

Nice for the price
I ended up changing to all Delta halfway through my bath remodel but could not redo my existing shower faucet to Delta since the tile was already laid.I had to buy a venetian bronze in Moen since my existing plumbing rough-in was a Moen. I was so looking forward to getting the Delta Dryden but had to go with this. The color is only slightly off and slightly more light brown compared the really dark Dryden vanity faucet. Nevertheless, the difference not that noticeable and certainly if you wanted to buy a less pricier faucet this is a good choice. So far the spray is good and and regulator turn smoothly. Of course, there is no separate temperature and volume control but I don't really care.

Gave product 5 stars, give product listing 1 star....
I love the look of this product. The bronze looks so classy. We have white tub shower with light brown walls and this adds so much!I wish something on this listing would have explained 2 things... would have made my life alot easier.1. This is for a shower that does NOT have the "pull" feature to turn the water on - So if you just have to turn your water handle to make water come out - you can just buy this product without the valve.2. Remeber that this does NOT have the water spout feature - If you buy this set, then you will have to buy the matching spout seperate for over $50 bucks, or if you but the set of 3 - listed on Amazon as well - the spout only cost $5 bucks. Would have been nice to have a reminder on this posting!!! Or I am just Blonde!Hope this helps and good luck,Caroline

good product for material and performance
We've used this for about two years now and like it with just one "downgrade."The finish is nice, it seems to be well made. No problems with material or performance. The only drawback is that the shower head comes with just one flow type: normal. We bought it knowing that, but didn't find a reasonably-priced trim kit with a 3+ setting option for the head.So after several months of "suffering" without a stream or pulsating flow, we bought a stand-alone multiple-flow head and swapped it out.

Looks great but could have been a bit better...
Just purchased and install this unit along with many of the matching fixtures (roman tub, sink, etc) and they do look great! The handles as previously mentioned do have a little play in them which does not impact the operation of the valve. That said it would have earned a five star if this fit was nice and snug. Install was extremely easy taking each fixture about 20 minutes to complete. Per the other comment on missing parts, I knew that this was a trim kit only NOT missing parts. Meaning if you have a positemp Moen fixture set already then this will fit using the same valves making the install very simple. This unit is sold in a package that includes the valves but it costs more ~$60.

The gap between the handle and the escutcheon cover was unacceptable
The install went well except that the gap between the handle and the escutcheon cover was unacceptable. After contacting Moen direct, they sent me, free of charge, an extension escutcheon cover which did the trick with the only challenge being that they neglected to send along longer screws, thus numerous attempts were made to connect the shorted screws to the shower valve assembly before finally making a connection.

Easy upgrade to existing shower
This is typical moen quality at a great price. Looks as pictured in the ad. If you're looking for a change to antique bronze this is a quick and easy fix.

It's a Moen
I prefer Moen for quality and warranty. No supersizes with this product, everything I needed was in the box.
