OMG, a game changer; better than puppy pads and towels!! Works exactly as described and shown in vendor video. Would soak through puppy pads and even tried 3 bath towels folded in half. Pleasantly surprised this worked exactly as described and shown. Never leaks, very comfortable, quiet, warm, and durable. It was a game changer, must have!!Play on the velvet side because it is so soft and feels amazing. Many different types of liquids and body fluids have gotten on it and they all washed out, no stains. Does not require special care or cleaning. I clean it at home using a standard washer, dryer, and laundry soap. Never had any issues of any kind. Been using it over many months and still like new. The velvet side is extremely soft and silky to lay on. It is kept out and often used as a blanket when watching movies or sleeping at night if I get cold. Its extremely warm and dense. Everyone that comes over has seen it but no one knows its secrets.Note: because the blanket is waterproof, I usually run the spin cycle 3-4 times to emit excess water before placed in dryer; otherwise, takes several hours to dry. Pictures posted were just taken at time of review. The slight red glow is due to the shine in the velvet material. Not stains. Took 10 different photos, all had that. Absolute must have, even just as a warm blanket.

We've tried a number of solutions for bedroom concerns to maintain a wetness barrier but haven't been happy with the mattress pad and liners for a number of reasons. With the purchase of a new mattress recently, we took the plunge and picked up this blanket for use when we're expecting to need it and it's so worth it. (new mattresses aren't cheap !)The blanket was tested out almost immediately after purchase. It's just right to fit across the king bed, corner to corner. It's soft on both sides with one being "sherpa" type texture and the smooth being a shiny jet black. Since it won't be on there full time, we're not concerned about the look so much but we've tried using it both directions and each has their merit. And... both directions it protected against pass-through wetness in any quantity.it's been through the wash several times with no signs of distress or reduction in the protective layer.No "crunchy" type noises and same look and feel of a regular blanket. This is good as we found the mattress pad type liners to be very distracting... either from noise or discomfort.it is recommended to dry on a cooler temperature so we do find that it needs to hang try for a length of time after washing since it is highly absorbent and pretty heavy with moisture even after an hour of cool spin in the dryer. Maybe we're not being aggressive enough with the wash cycle but we don't want to risk damaging the protective layer.

We've begun to use coconut oil in our adventures. The leftover stains are sometimes darn near impossible to get out. Thus we we went hunting for a blanket such as this.We washed it before use and upon taking it out of the washer the blanket weighed a ton from all of the water it retained. Washing/drying this is best done with the heavy duty machines at the laundromat.The black side gets unsightly very quickly. Everything shows. So we are only using the flip side which reminds me a bit of sheep wool. It is comfortable and hides those pesky remnants until it is time to launder. Washing after each use is in my opinion unnecessary and difficult as described above.After use we fold it with the black side out and keep it at the foot of the bed. No one knows.Thus far this blanket has protected just as we hoped it would.One side is better than none.

100% water proof as advertised

After seeing this blanket at a friend's house, I had to get one - and it works perfectly for my dog's accidents! It's indeed completely waterproof, super soft, and big enough to protect my furniture. No more wet spots or smells seeping through. Worth every penny - I'm getting another one!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
