These work very well... great alternative to traditional traps with some caveats...
These are a great alternative if you need catch mice/rats. I've recently had an issue where they started destroying my garden, which has never been a problem before. I do have other animals, so I wanted to avoid snap-traps and poisons. I thought I'd use these to mitigate a family of mice from annihilating what I had left of the season, and more importantly propagating. I was worried about collateral damage (read: catching other animals), but fortunately these things caught it's intended target. So far I've only had one trap miss only because I can see the bait was disturbed and the glue was disturbed as well. Despite these traps doing a great job, they are alive or will remain alive for quite some time until you euthanize them appropriately. If you can deal with this, I would highly recommend.Pros:They catch mice/rats.Much safer if you have animals/pets.No need for snap traps. No need for poison bates.Large footprint (Read the con below as well...) to ensure entrapment.Cons:Will not euthanize the mice/rats quickly.More bulk to dispose of.Larger footprint makes it more difficult to place in small places. Although take advantage of the fold lines in the trap.It can be a messy clean-up if the animal is there for a long time.Overall, I would recommend this product as it is effective and very easy to use.Tips:* As the directions dictate, close the trap, then open it before placing it. It opens up the tacky glue and makes it easier to start the entrapment process.* Supplement the included bait with regular peanut butter* Place your bait at the most center of the trap to ensure there's more surface area for entrapment.* Secure the trap down as there is a potential that you can partially entrap the mouse/rat and it may leave the area. I will use a staple gun to secure it next to fences or wood surfaces. A hole punch on the edge, then tied to a stone or stationary object works as well.* Check the trap frequently to avoid longterm entrapment and dispose of accordingly.

Nothing Smells Like Decomp In The Morning
We live in hot and humid Southwest Florida which gets a lot of rain especially in the summer. Since our water table is high a lot of local flooding comes with the rainy season. And when it floods all the critters start looking for some high and dry areas to inhabit. Unfortunately one of those spots is the attic of our three story home. They either climb up our drainpipes or clamber up our screened pool cage. The morning after we had a bridal shower for our youngest daughter I noticed an oppressive odor on the second floor that smelled like sewer. Since our septic system worked perfectly my second guess was that we once again had a dead critter in the attic. Upon investigating it was obvious that there were mice in the attic so I had to break out my various traps. I use live traps, the classic Victor snappers, and sometimes glue traps like this version. I avoid poisons for two reasons: I'd hate to be found guilty of secondary poisoning of a natural predator (or one of our Irish Wolfhounds), and a mouse or rat dying in our attic is very difficult to find -- often resulting in 5 days of that very unpleasant odor. After looking around the accessible areas in our attic I noticed some droppings in very tight spaces that you couldn't fit a regular trap into. That's where the glue traps really shine. I place a piece of stinky cheese and some peanut butter in the center of each trap and slide it into the tight area. Usually you have to wait a few days for results (unless you wear gloves while baiting and placing the traps) but in this case I had two captives the following morning. Even after baiting the traps two more times I never captured any other culprits -- and there weren't any signs of additional vermin.I prefer live trap and release but that isn't always possible. These glue traps do what they promise and are effective at holding the prey they attract. I even used one outside in an area where I knew an old river rat had been chewing through our pool cage screen. Although he successfully avoided all the baited regular traps he did end up stuck in one of these Mouse Glue Traps. They work, are reasonably priced, and easy to dispose of.

Marvelous, wish I started with these and my rat problem would have been over quickly !
These are worth every cent! I tried everything to rid my house of rats that moved from a vacant house under construction to mine, I used regular traps with cheese bait , sonic hearing electric plugins , with no results but damage to all my baking supplies, oven and dishwasher wires chewed and large holes chewed thru walls for tunnels, just hours of stinky $$$$ havoc! These came and my husband put then out and I got my first large rat in 10 minutes, 3 hours later another more, within 24 hours, finally 4 very large smart dead rats, one trap was down the basement but was upset and then rebaited. I now have with that success ordered more, , worth every cent! Can't wait til tomorrow for their arrival, in time, with the helping of these fabulous traps, all will be gone for good. They are so easy, set with bait, I used dog food, wait and bang rats stuck and screaming then dead! PS, sonic plugins being sent back as I am writing this, after my family suffering a month with no success . Do not waste your time, invest in these and order 10 if you have a large problem and they work wonderful. Soon, my house will be rat free and I will not be kept up all nite by their annoying noise and eating everything including parts of my house!
