Used these for corner fencing and they work well but pre drill hole first or the plastic will separate from the threaded rod

Perfect!
These are great for keeping horses away from the fence line. You have about six inches of standoff which is perfect. I have a young boy who was getting brave and challenging the fence. 5 minutes after installing this he tested the fence and got a little shock. Now he stays away.Like some have said, pre drill your holes. I have had one break on me. I also hand tighten these I did not torque these down.

I screwed two in to a wooden post fine after that I have had 6 break one after another the end where you would put the wire three seems to strip and keep spinning not letting it screw in the post or unscrew very disappointed if I could rate this a zero I would

Easy to install holders for a variety of electrical fencing.
I got these to put a single electric strand on s stretch of goat fence between the boys and girls. I have only wooden fence posts in this section and there are several kinds of insulators you can use. I couldn't decide whether to use insulators that put the wire close (about an inch) to the post or these, which put the wire farther away (about 6"), so I got both. We'll see whether there's any difference. These longer ones are advertised to be screwed in by hand, but I found that it depended on the age of the post and whether it was round or square. I kept a drill handy for drilling pilot holes, and in any case installing them was not difficult. I recommend these insulators.
