This rug is even more beautiful in person than it is in the photos. The wool is thick and plush, and the colors are rich and vibrant. It looks like it would cost ten times the amount that I paid for it.I was a little hesitant to order a rug online, but I'm so glad I did. This rug is perfect for my living room. Just ordered the Safavieh Antiquity Collection AT14A in the 9'6" x13'6" size in ivory. The rug arrived in 3 days which was a day early. It was well wrapped in paper and plastic. Please be advised that wool rugs of this size are extremely heavy. This one weighs a 103 pounds and was marked by UPS "Extemely Heavy. Two Man Carry" all over the package. Once it was in the house and unwrapped it was everything we had hoped for: thick, soft nap; colors very close to the online pictures; well constructed all around. It does shed like any other wool rug but nothing more than we've seen with other wool rugs. We'll have to wait and see how it wears. The rug it's replacing is 19 years old and is going to a new home for some more use. So we have high expectations!

The rugs came quickly and are very pretty. I bought a room size and 1 for under the dinning room table. These matched perfectly and the nap is thick. For as inexpensive as they were, I'm impressed with the quality.

I have wanted this rug for several years. I ordered it from another source a couple of years ago and it arrived damaged. When I returned it, this rug in the size I needed was no longer available. When I found it on Amazon last month, the price was exactly the same as the price I had paid two years earlier (no increase), and it arrived quickly & INTACT. This rug is densely woven and tightly knotted, so even if you have cats, it should stand up to quite a bit of kneading from clawed paws. The texture is "sturdy" - slightly course - and just plush enough (I don't care for the too closely cut pile). I expect it will wear well. I have it in an often-used keeping room in a coastal house (our main communing area), so "sturdy" is a must. It is perfect for a more casual space. I'd think it is not quite the thing if you're looking for a rug for a more formal area. My only complaint (which is why the 4-out-of-5 star rating): I ordered the rug with the Ivory background. The ivory was quite a bit more yellow than would have been my ideal. I realize that my rather aged Apple monitor could have mislead me regarding the color. But, then again, perhaps not. It is still a lovely, GOOD quality rug which is not made in China that I would purchase again.

I’m so disappointed. The rugs looked beautiful out of the package. I was so happy with the pattern, thickness, and perceived quality at first. I rolled out the larger one and there was a crease. I tried weighting it out but nothing worked in 24 hours. Then, the shedding began. What a mess. There’s holes and flat areas in both rugs, as well as that pesky crease. The vacuum canister is full everyday. I’m not returning due to the fact I haven’t found anything to replace them yet and the dog seems to like them. I don’t want to have to invest in the materials to wrap them up. Should have known when the packaging said “save for return”.

Nice colors and weave. I bought a small 3’x5’ for next to a king bed. Did not have the shedding problem or any other problem that was mentioned in the reviews. Bought a 2nd exactly same rug & was very pleased again

I got a great price for a nice rug - dense wool and soft. My only problem is that it sheds soooooooo much. I can go over and over it with the vacuum and fill the large canister multiple times. I’m hoping it eventually stops, so I can go back to my robot vacuums, which fill up immediately and choke on all the shedding.

I love the design, the lighter colouring and rich feel of this rug underfoot. It fits perfectly in my Living Room and looks great against the dark hardwood floor and with my traditional design style. Because the various sites showing this carpet (including Safavieh's site) all show variations in the colour, I couldn't be sure what it really looked like, so I decided to buy the small 2x3 rug first just to be sure before investing in the larger 8'3" x 11 version. The colours did turn out to be the same as shown on the Amazon website for this rug size. So far I have not had an issue with the shedding reported in other reviews, but the initial vacuum did pick up quite a bit of lint.

This rug made my sunroom one of my favourite spots in the house, cozy and stylish, matches traditional style with some touches of retro. High quality rug in soft natural organic looking colour, thick and cozy. Thanks to producers.

Very impressed with the quality of this carpet. The colours aren't as dark as they seem in the online photo. Still a beautiful carpet.
