Works as described
I was able to use while on vacation and at home with no issue. Switching voltage is very easy. Works well to dry and calm tight curls.

Great product
Pritech blow dryer brush gets the job done as expected. I’ve had the Revlon dryer brush for over 3 years and I love it, but specifically purchased this one for upcoming trips to Europe because it’s dual voltage. (Revlon model is not.) So far, I’m pleased with its performance. By comparison, Pritech is less powerful (1000w v. 1200w), which means I had to use slightly smaller sections on my thick hair, and stay on the roots longer than I usually do with the Revlon. However, the exchange of power also makes the Pritech model lighter and quieter. Both models are almost identical in size, while the oval barrel of the Pritech is just slightly more elongated. I found it to be cooler to the touch, but it does drag in my hair a little more than the Revlon. (Not badly, just by comparison.) The handle is comfortable to hold and has a nice, smooth hand-feel. (Think matte velvet.) It’s pretty, too!So if you’re comparison shopping, the Revlon is overall somewhat better quality, but the Pritech has some great features, most notably that it is dual voltage and includes an outlet converter for traveling.

Barrel and handle too big
I was so excited to see this dual voltage dryer/curler on Amazon and bought it for an upcomingg overseas trip. When I received it, I was surprised how big the diameter of the dryer/curler barrel and the handle are! I have short fine layered hair that it was hard to wrap the thick barrel around my hair and then dry and style it. The thick handle also made it difficult to grip the dryer and work with while drying and styling my hair. I have arthritic hands and I struggled to hold the curler and keep my hair around it and style it compared to my 1-2 inch barrel curlers. The thick and heavy barrel made it painful and difficult for me to use with my small hands. So, instead of getting the shine and styling I expected from using it, my hair was disappointingly frizzy and wiry. I just could not make it work.Overall, I like the way it looks and the dual voltage was a great practical feature for overseas travel but the design did not work for me - the handle was bulky for someone with small hands like mine and the barrel was too thick to use on my short fine hair. It would, however, be perfect for someone with thick, medium to long hair and a lot more strength and grip on their hands. It just didn't work for me so I gave it a 3 star rating.

Great for overseas travel
This is just like the one I use here in the states that is not a dual-voltage. Something to note though is the adapter plug that comes with this dryer brush did not work in the European plugs I encountered at the hotel on cruise ship. They are recessed with a circle and this adapter doesn't fit into that circle. Luckily, I also had purchased Tessan adapters that did work. The important part of this product is that it is dual voltage and you switch it to the European voltage for use there. Just make sure you have adapters that fit the plugs they have.

Ignore the nay sayers!
I purchased this brush almost one year ago. I intentionally purchased it because of the dual voltage capabilities. It has gotten plenty of use here in the US and it works just fine. Recently I finally had the opportunity to use it overseas in Europe and boy oh boy was I ever glad that I got this brush. I forgot the little key to turn the voltage from 110 to 220 but a good pair of flat tweezers did the job. It worked PERFECTLY!!!!! There was no buzzing sound or burning smell like you get when using a converter for 110 hair tools! It work just as well as here at home!! I was so impressed and happy as I have traveling with multiple tools that just take up space then burn out when used. Now I just wish that they made a curling iron with the same voltage toggle switch.

Custom fit for what I needed
I ordered 2 duel voltage models for an upcoming trip to Europe. The Plavogue with over 1700 reviews averaging 4.1stars, and the Pritech with 34 reviews averaging 4.2 stars. I found the air flow and heat of the Plavogue unevenly distributed along the brush shaft and the sound decibels ranging upper 80's to mid 90'sDecibel range for the Pritech is 65-75ish decibels and the heat/air flow was even throughout the brush shaft. The 1st air brush I ever purchased was Revlon from Costco which ran at over 95 decibels. Horrible for your hearing & anyone trying to sleep nearby. I returned it immediately.Found a reasonable dryer off Amazon with decibels under 90, and worked better on my hair than the conventional dryer and brush I'd been using and was mostly happy with it.My hair is medium short, straight and fine. With my current hot air brush, I mostly used the low heat setting which is also lower air speed. I couldn't use the "air" setting as the wind speed was so fast it would undo any styling I was trying to set. The Pritech blowing speeds are more gentle and the sound quieter than what I currently own. I'm very very happy that, not only is this air brush quieter than my original but with the blowing speeds a bit slower, I have more control of my styling. I can use the cool setting on the Pritech w/o undoing the styling I just set. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to significantly increase drying time for me.I suspect those of you blessed with a lot of hair, and/or with stronger thicker hair may decide you prefer stronger blowing speeds.Random plus is that I like the colors on it. I prefer silver over gold.I'm so very happy with this air brush.
