Our cocker spaniel could not walk on a leash with a proper harness as she would pull so hard she choked herself over and over. We had decided to spend the money to have her professionally trained but saw the fabulous reviews for the prong collar and decided to give it a try as a last ditch effort. SO GLAD WE DID!! The very first walk with the prong collar was a huge success! Not one choking incident occurred! We have walked her 4-5 times since and experience the same excellent results each time! Do yourself a favor- order one! BTW- it’s very humane- it does not hurt the dog in any way!

Prong collars cam get a bad rap because they look as if they are pain-giving medieval contraptions. They truly are not. I think they are much more humane than the constant pulling of the choke-chain on dogs not well-trained. All my dogs have responded well to them, immediately calmed down and show respect. I started using prong collars in the past because it was the only way I could take my three giant breed Leonbergers on a walk together. I especially like the adjustable ones that snap on. All three are quality German made products that have lasted well over 20 years. I still use one on my large Husky mix.I was looking for one for my smaller Husky mix, who is still considered a large dog, but not giant. In this day and age of products that are not as well made, and many knockoffs, I hesitated to pay the price for one made in Germany. So, after reading numerous reviews on various brands I chose this one. My only hesitation were the reviews that said the plastic buckle broke rather quickly.Upon arrival and trying the buckle I noticed the plastic was extremely dry and difficult to undo. No wonder it broke! I sprayed it with a dry lube and what a difference! No problem with the buckle! However, for reasons unknown to me the plastic continues to dry out rather quickly so I reapply the lube at least once a month.This dog is not one who constantly pulls on the leash anyway, so for her I chose to keep the plastic on the the tips. And that works well for her. prong collars are needed though when walking my two together and they see something they want to chase! So these collars keep them in check and under my control.And if that plastic buckle does eventually break I can be assured she won’t be able to run off and get hit by a car because of the two rings the leash clips on to. All around a good buy at a reasonable price for the materials it’s made with

If it's not tight enough and your dog goes backwards really fast, it will pop off. Removing and adding links to the collar can be a bit of a challenge. It can also get a little tangled with his normal collar when being removed though.

This is my second prong collar. My Pit-terrier puppy is growing rapidly, and outgrew her first collar. At 50+ pounds with a 17” neck I ordered size large. I removed one Prong and it fits perfect. I really like the way it buckles. It has a strong web plastic lock, and two metal rings as well that you use to attach the leash. Very secure and won’t accidentally come unhooked. The prongs are larger than her previous collar, and are much easier to add or remove than her previous collar, which required the use of pliers to add or remove. No tools needed, just your hands. Recommend.

Our dog pulls really bad when walking and other collars have been dangerous for her. I had to always have my husband walk her because I couldn’t handle her before. This collar was recommended to us and it works great! Definitely doesn’t hurt her at all, and keeps her safe from choking or breaking free. Pulling has gotten a lot better and walks are more enjoyable!

Be careful using this collar while your dog is in a cage they can possibly get stuck or tangled, but otherwise this product is great

It was easy to put on and off and works well on both of my dogs now I just need to find something to get them to stop barking

This pinch collar is great. Will not come unfastened when walking her. Easier to control her when on walks. Does not her when pulls. Pinch’s neck and makes her itch. More like how mother took care of her as pup.

Works perfectly for my border collie. Prongs are easy to remove to size. Caps on the prongs for protection. Love how it unclips and doesn’t have to slide over the head. And there’s even a lock on it so it can’t pop off. My dog supports LGBTQ
