very sturdy bird feeder
Love this sturdy bird feeder. However, I did not like the holes in bottom of feeder that kept the bottom tray full. I closed them off with gorilla tape.

They wanted me to rate suction power?? it is not motorized so ?? for them.. the Birds like it
It is heavy and made well The birds like it once they found it and the squirrels have tried to eat from it by reaching in - wow they have long arms.. but it is too much work for them and they gave up. Because it holds enough food at least for now.. I will not have to deal with the top closure often but it is a definite issue for me - perhaps because I am left handed ?? the lid does not easily align with the body. I like the catch tray. Glad to have it even with its right hand lid closure.. Grandson had no issue - he is right handed ???

Not what I expected
The small birds can't barely get inside the cage and some large birds can reach the food with their beaks so far I've had to fill the tray with seeds to attract birds . The holes in the tray are too small for rainwater to drain properly; they get clogged with seeds. It is s strong and attractive feeder but it's not doing the job.

Nice bird feeder
The bird feeder is actually a very nice feeder. I purchased it because I had big black birds eating all of my bird seeds. I thought having a cage would help but it did not. The smaller black birds still managed to eat all my seeds. The cardinals will not go near feeder. At least the smaller birds get through the cage to eat. Inn be only wish the cage was much bigger so that the black birds could not get to seeds.

Keeps the big birds away
I was having problems with Starlings cleaning out my feeders. The wire cage around the feeder mostly keeps the Starlings and other big birds from emptying the feeder.

Cage too narrow for birds to get inside
I’m disappointed. The photos appeared to be exactly what I was looking for, to replace a similar one that rusted out, but this one is much smaller. I won’t return it since it took several days of use to verify my suspicions that it was too small for birds to get inside. It is only really useful for birds to eat from the bottom tray, while staying outside the cage. The one photo they have showing a cardinal fully inside the feeder is physically impossible. There is no way a bird that size could fit thru the holes, when even the smallest finches/chickadees/etc aren’t willing to try to squeeze thru the openings. The distance between the seed tube and the cage is only 1 7/8”. The holes on the cage are 1 3/8” wide x 1 1/4” high.

The product is made very well made and strong and strong.
I am very pleased with this product. It very strong and durable. The plastic area is very strong and not flimsy. I am sure it will last a long time.

Doesn't keep squirrels or the grackels out.
I bought for my painted buntings to feed in peace but the openings are too small and it doesn't keep the aggressive birds out. The squirrels learned how to dump the food on the ground.
