GREAT KNIFE bought just over a year ago, used at a motor vehicle accident I stopped for. Works teriffic good quality!
I just bought two more of these now! I have to say I was very satisfied when I first bought this knife being into tactical gear, seeing and owning knives for over two decades from trying out no name mom and pop brands (some now larger and well known) to major players like Microtech and I'll even say Gerber, I'm talking about the high end Gerber stuff made to be beat and work hard without breaking so let's just say I've had some experience with knives. I love carrying my Microtech OTF Combat Trodoon but at almost $550 almost always carrying it in a sheath but still worry about loosing it, or theft, NOT breaking it being they have terrific customer service. Anyway I bought this to carry when I'd rather leave my Microtech at home but still have a good knife with the same capabilities like the glass breaker, bull tip, partially serrated, and good size. The knife blade locks firmly and hasn't loosened the pocket clip did a bit, moving about a 1/8" at most where I have it tightened to now being tightening the screw makes opening it harder. I have used abused and tested this knife like cutting right thru a piece of an Infinity front bumper 3/16" no problem, construction items like wood to sheetrock even wire cutting or stripping, all over. Glass doors and windows aren't a match for the real glass breaker not a cheap price. Being the curious guy I even cut some shingles which obviously required a bit of cleaning and sharpening after but it went right back to working. Just recently I came across a second's old SUV rollover with one driver in her 70-80's consious but pinned by her seatbelt which locked and pressing into her chest causing her trouble breathing I quickly popped her sunroof with the carbide glass breaker and cut her belt with the strap cutter being safe to do so. So between my trials, its ability to be very deadly by design I've stabbed pigs (already dead) with teriffic ease and designed safety to yourself being the knife is capable of providing a safe grip even when wet, God forbid you need it that way it can easily save your life, the overall quality and ability to take abuse, plus the name plate INCLUDES backup blades under it without adding bulk, a nice advantage for the money is why I give 5 stars.

Wow this is sharp!
SOG knives have always been known for their quality. This one is no exception. The first thing you notice is the weight; this is not a light knife by any means, but this is an indicator of quality and sturdiness. It's a little difficult for one-hand opening, but that's probably a good thing because the blade is VERY sharp, I'm talking razor blade level. The addition of a seat-belt cutter, wire-stripper and glass-breaker make this a very competent all-around performer. I am very happy with it.Edit: Many people complain that this knife is difficult to open, especially one-handed. It is. This is not a flaw; it is a safety measure, you don't want this knife to open arbitrarily. However it can be opened one-handed with a little practice. And also there are complaints that it can't be closed one-handed. This is also true, and it's also a good thing! An accidental closing could easily removed a digit. Love this knife.

SOG knife
Very nice knife. Usually get a Gerber but this is a very comparable product.

Don't confuse this with some fancy spyderco
This isn't a fancy spyderco coveted by bearded flannel wearing guys who want an EDC that will last them 10 + years. This is a combat and survival knife plain and simple. The good:The blade is sharp, nice tip and serrated at the base. It really is for cutting through things but make no mistake about it SOG makes a lot of knifes for the military and it is a combat knife. That means its not meant to be kept for a decade and babied. It is meant to be used. Its durable up to a certain point but like combat knives its meant to be replaced if it wears out. The locking mechanism is great in a combat or self defense scenario as you won't disengage a liner lock which normally positioned where your fingers grip. The locking mechanism is on the other side where your palm is and you cannot disengage it when grasping it. Tungesten end is strong and will break a window. The bad:Stiff opening. Can be done with one hand but not as seamless as say spyderco and is not assisted. The opening studs are nice but they are a potential tactical mistake as they can get caught in clothing or materials or such when you are cutting through something. Steel quality isn't great but like I said this isn't your baby. The seatbelt cutter is useless, if you are gonna cut a seatbelt just deploy the blade.

Incredibly sharp and good quality, which is to be expected from SOG
Incredibly sharp and good quality, which is to be expected from SOG. I've had it for about a month now, but haven't tried all the features yet. The glass breaker tip is really freaking pointy, though. When holding it at first, it seems hefty, but after opening it and gripping it as one would to use it, it feels lightweight, balanced, and still solid. It's a little stiff to open, but that's not really an issue. My hands are a bit on the larger side, and the grip accommodates my hand well, although someone with more average-sized hands should find it to be an equally good, if not better, fit. The pocket clip seems sturdy, and isn't too tight or too loose. Basically, it feels good, works well, and should last. The excessively pointy glass breaker is my only complaint because I can imagine it poking something or wearing a hole somewhere, but it hasn't caused any problems yet, so I'll give five stars.

Amazing knife
A true multiple scenario tool. The survival components are durable, with a spare seat belt blade and the knife lives up to the SOG reputation.

Exceptionally sharp and sturdy
The knifeās quality is better than expected. The blade material is thick and heavy duty with a very sharp blade. The frame is lightweight metal and extremely sturdy. Great purchase!
