Highly recommend
We have two 6 month old Great Pyresese puppies. They were litter mates, one male and one female. We had them fixed at the same time. The boy is 55 lbs and the girl is 38 lbs. Since he is a little larger We got him this recovery suit in a 2X. We got the girl the 1X. This 2X was really too big. The pink 1X fit both dogs beautifully. The suit is really well made and high quality. It was easy to put on and easy to undo and roll up at potty time. It kept him away from his stitches. It was definitely worth the money. Great Pyresese are huge dogs and we did measure them but went with the larger size because he weighed more, that was a mistake, it was so large he was able to move around the leg opening to get to his stitches. Since he was the one giving us trouble he ended up wearing the pink 1X and it was perfect. The fabric is amazing and the detailing around the neck and leg openings is top notch. It stayed were you put it and didn't stretch out.

This recovery dog suit was a lifesaver!
Omg! If you have a female dog that is getting spayed or is recovering from abdominal surgery, you should buy one of these “dog onesies” as we called it, lol! Our female dog was recovering from being spayed and she absolutely hated wearing the cone of shame. She couldn’t get comfortable while wearing the rigid plastic cone on her head (first time wearing a cone) and she was miserable. After about the first 45 minutes of wearing the cone we realized we needed to look into other options for our girl to be able to recover comfortably. The vet had mentioned that our dog could wear a body suit instead of a cone, if she would tolerate it. At that time of loading her into the car to leave the vet, we sort of laughed and didn’t pay much attention to it. I mean, who has ever heard of a body suit for a dog? Well, it was not long and we were searching the internet for just such a suit. We felt bad enough that our extremely high energy, young playful pup was dealing with recovery from surgery, and the many restrictions that she would have to accept, temporarily. She is so energetic and playful, always jumping around the house, inside and out, and always with a toy in her mouth. Toys are such an important part of her daily life/ routine , and we had to take them all away for about 14 days. The vet told us we had to remove all toys that would encourage excitement and jumping/ playing , in order for her to completely heal without any complications from stitches coming open. Our dog had to take doggie downers (prescription that made her less active) to help keep her calm and more relaxed. Even still, keeping her calm and quiet/relaxed was very difficult. With her wearing this “doggie onesie” however, she was finally able to fully relax to sleep. She could not get comfortable enough to fully relax while wearing the cone of shame. While wearing the onesie, she could lick the fabric, but not get to her actual stitches. She excepted the strange new concept of wearing dog clothing and never tried to get it off by herself. Maybe part of this is because we constantly made over her and how cute she was in her dog onesie, lol. The material is very soft and stretchy, just like human baby onesies, lol. The Velcro closure is very strong and secure, yet also very easy to undo and refasten. As you can tell by some of the pics I added to this review, the onesie (Aka dog recovery suit) we purchased did not fit our dog perfectly, because our dog is a mixed breed with a longer body. Our dog is about the size of a full grown Labrador, but taller and longer bodied. Her nickname is stretch, because she the size of a Lab with about 7 inches in length, stretched out in her body. As a result, part of the time her lower neck/ almost shoulder area exceeded past the head opening of the dog suit. Thank goodness for the very stretchy fabric. The dog suit did not fit her perfectly, but it worked and we got through the 2 weeks of recovery. This purchase/item was one of the best things we have bought off Amazon. It did what it was supposed to. It aided in a more comfortable recovery for our dog, not to mention help us to keep our sanity during the process. I highly recommend buying this product if you ever have to get your female dog spayed. Also, I think it might be a good option for female dogs to wear while in heat, to help keep your house cleaner. Could probably work as sort of a dog diaper in that situation.Note:When your dog has to go potty and/or poop you really need to undo the Velcro closure and either roll it up and back (on top of their back) and refasten Velcro holding the fabric out of the way , or , remove onesie temporarily and then put back on. You may want to consider purchasing two of these. That way if one gets dirty or yucky you can wash it in washing machine (recommend air drying) and still keep one on your dog while they are in recovery.

They run incredibly small
I really like this onsie but my small dog is wearing a large. My golden barely fit in the c-large so be sure to measure the back length of your dog.Over all I really like the design. The Velcro is so much easier than the snaps on the suiticle. The material is soft and has a nice thickness and stains wash out nicely. With the right size/length these are great coverage and fit well. Just be very careful measuring and if unsure order the next size up.

Definate must have for surgical recovery!!!
This suit was $20 less then the suit I picked up at the pet store. The pet store suit didn't fit, the snaps broke the frist night and the doggy didnt care for it. I'm glad I had ordered this one. Delivered the next day. It fit well. I have a lab that's 68lbs. Great quality. Easy to put on and easy to roll up for potty breaks. She didn't mind wearing it after surgery. Cute patterns. She can get around easily in it. Overall I would absolutely suggest this onesie for recovery again. Definite must have!

not meant for 5lbs and under
My chi is 4.62 lbs so he’s fairly small. I got an xs in both colors and they fit the same. Very cute and reminds me of a onesie you would put on a baby. The quality of the material is nice and soft. And it seems like he is more comfortable laying down with this than the soft cone i had gotten him. My only issue is the leg holes are too big and he could easily lift his leg up to access incisions and my cat has also been trying to get in their to lick his wound. His front paws sometimes will come out the sleeve and he occasionally gets stuck . Other than that he’s used to wearing sweaters so i don’t think it bothers him too much. I bought two because he’s not potty trained fully and i figured he would have an accident atleast once and i was right. It was nice having another one i can put on him until the other one is clean.

Fit great and work exactly as hoped
Used the guide for size, and on arrival fit was great. When we first put it on her (before her surgery), she kinda flipped out a bit (had never worn clothing before). However, after about 20 minutes of wearing it, she really wasn't bothered by it anymore and didn't car that she was wearing it.Today is her 14th day post-spaying, and it worked out great. The suit kept her from irritating her incision, and she is healed up great. I had to wash it one time and was worried it wouldn't survive, but washing on gentle cycle was fine. We will probably keep her in it for a few more days, but would definitely recommend. I'm not sure how much longer it will last (starting to develop a couple holes near seams), but definitely works great for the 10-14 days teh vet recommended she leave it alone.

Must-Have for Post-Surgery Care - ditch the cone!
We were recommended this recovery suit for our dog's neutering, and it worked great! It was easy to put on and kept our dog away from the surgical site, making recovery smoother. The cute design is a bonus—so much better than a cone! Plus, it held up well through multiple washes. I highly, highly recommend this product for any pet owner needing post-surgery care. It's a game-changer!

Meets expectations
My dog is a 70lb female german shepherd. I ordered the XL. It fits her alright but needs to be a bit longer for her body. She is unable to get it off of her which is a plus. It was easy to get on. Designed well.

Perfect!
I got a size L for my 15kg female Staffordshire Bull Terrier & it fits like a glove. The velcro is super strong so she can’t get out of it. Its also really breathable. She can’t get to her wound; no matter how hard she tries. Its great when we take her outside to wee, as it just rolls up so she can go. Its also been helping with her allergies and losing hair. I highly recommend, plus, its super cute.

Fit
This certainly did the trick. Just difficult to get the right size for a Boston terrier. Overall very pleased with this item

Perfect post surgery
Mabel is an 70lb golden doodle. She's more lanky than barrel shaped. Measurements put her between XL and XXL so we got XXL. It's a little roomy but adjustable. The neck is quite big but not falling off. I think it will be fine for her spay. Another review suggested looping the collar through the neck so we may do that. The fabric is soft. Hoping it doesn't stretch. She hasn't tried to take it off. So far so good. *update* the big neck keeps it from pulling and the velcro wraps are hidden so she can't easily undo it but it's so comfy she hasn't tried. Roomy enough that it doesn't pull or push on incision.
