Great product.
So far this fan is humming right along. Along with my other attic improvements, this fan has significantly lowered the temp of my attic. I am very pleased. It has a super sturdy build. I should have bought one that blended into my roof color but I'm still pleased.

Does a great job drawing air and was easy to install
I'm using this fan in a mid-size open ceiling studio space. While this fan is a little noisy (a little louder than the average box fan), it is definitely worth it for the immediate relief from the heat. Does a great job drawing air and was easy to install.

Worked Great Now Nothing
Update: 1 year later. Turned it on for summer run. Nothing. Checked wiring. 120 VAC right to the motor leads. Nothing. Not good. Will be contacting Broan.I installed this in my attic on the roof and it's worked great to cool my attic during record breaking temperatures.. I have it hooked to a Inkbird WiFi ITC-308 Digital Temperature Controller Thermostat which is mounted in our closet below the fan. It maintained my attic at about 120 degrees at 108 degrees exterior temp. Much better than the 130+ temps we used to see at a lot less than 108. I've already noticed a decrease in my electricity bill as central A/C unit runs less now. It is a little noisy but not bad. From our upstairs bedroom, the humming sound it makes is equivalent to our dryer running downstairs. I'm not using the fan's thermostat so I can't give a rating on it.Overall: Excellent!

Good fan, thermostat has issues
The unit is well-constructed and easy to install. I added the 72W speed control, which makes quite a bit of difference to the noise level: at some speeds (including full speed), there is an annoying resonance in the fan blades, but a slight change makes it go away.As other reviews have noted, the thermostat is problematic. There are basically two settings: never turn on, and never turn off. I'm not sure there is an actual problem with the electronics used, but there really needs to be an option to locate the thermostat somewhere besides hard-bolted to the fan housing: in most applications, that will result in it "seeing" artificially-high temperatures due to heat conducted from the motor and/or sunlight hitting the dome/frame. I will probably make this mod myself once I have cooler weather to work up in the attic; in the meantime, I've just set the thermostat to 70F (which makes it run more or less all the time) and am using the speed control to turn it on/off manually.

Quiet and effective
Super quiet compared to generic sub $100 models out there. If you value your hearing and or the ability to have a conversation in your back yard this is a good choice

3 years in service and working great. Evacuates a very warm attic
Replaced with a new roof, a 23 year old Broan unit that had died.3 years in service and working great.Evacuates a very warm attic, and we added ridge line vents which assists as well.We have it on a on/off switch in the master closet in case we want it off ... curb the light noise at bedtime (off rarely used).

Works well noisy - glad it's in the garage!
Replaced a stationary vent in roof.Works well but makes a lot of noise, glad it's in the detached Garage attic!
