In October 2017, our beloved Golden Retriever was diagnosed with GI cancer, and given 6-8 weeks to live. Over the next few weeks, she would not eat any of her food, lost 12% of her body weight and became frail/listless/unhappy. Our breeder gave us a bag of TruDog Boost Me, just to see if it helped at all. Well, immediately, our girl went crazy for the food we were putting the Boost Me on. She loves the smell and taste. Within a week or so, we noticed she was very active and playful...and putting some weight back on. She is more spry and happy than she has been in years. Although she is on some medicines to make her comfortable during her fight with cancer (because she is almost 10, the Vet has recommended making her final days comfortable instead of opening her up with surgery and chemo), I believe the renewed "puppy-like" attitude she has taken on is due to the supplements in the TruDog. As of this coming Friday, it will have been 12 weeks since she was given 6-8 to live. She shows no signs of the cancer that we know is in her. We are thankful for this time and continue to order a bag of TruDog every week. (It needs to come in bigger sizes for those of us with bigger dogs)Yes, some of the cons stated are true. Our dog now has some of the nastiest gas we've ever smelled. She is definitely pooping more often (actually, a good thing when we consider the size of the tumor I saw in her intestines). Finally, the costs or pretty stupid-expensive, with the ridiculously small 3.5oz bags. (Offer bigger bags!)Our dog is now back up to her previous weight, her muscle tone is back and her eyes glow with excitement for life. As long as we have the blessing of enjoying her company and goofiness, she will be getting Boost Me on her food.

I have been using this topper for months! My dog loved the taste and gets excited when she hears the bag open. The bag lasts quite a while. Honestly the best deal for a healthy topper with good ingredients.

This product works okay. Our dogs weren’t too fond of it but still did its job as a topper. One thing to note, it has a VERY STRONG fishy smell. So if your dogs dont like fish, then its probably not the best topper for you. Docked off one star for the really fishy smell

I’ve purchased MULTIPLE freeze dried dry dog food toppers for my finicky pooch, from various manufacturers. I mean, I truly do not blame the little guy for wanting to change up boring redundant kibble. This is my first topper review simply because my dog went bat s*** crazy over this stuff. His nose was in bowl until it was licked clean. Product seems legit and I like the powder consistency which prevents my little guy from separating topper bits from kibble like a surgeon. I’ll be a repeat customer for sure.

This stuff is magic, my pug had developed a snobby attitude towards his healthy food, and didnt want to eat it any more. I tried a tea spoon of this dusted over the top, and you would think I served up filet mignon. He devours his food now. Great food topper. Highly recommended

I've been giving this to my dogs as a topper for many years, but used to buy it directly through the company. Now you have to buy it through Amazon. I don't know if that makes the difference. Probably not.The bag I just received is in complete powdered form. When I bought it through Halo it was actual pieces! I'm wondering if it goes a longer way for the company if it's all ground up into powder?You used to be able to see the actual food pieces!

But this 20 pound bag goes bad in less month than any dog owner could use it so unless you're a breeder or run a dog rescue, this size makes no sense. I froze 3/4 and put the rest in a small ziploc for now. I will buy a smaller size next time.
