So helpful….
My 11 yr old 128 lb. dog has hip issues and with this I’m able to help him get up and get steady on his legs so he can walk around independently. I also use it to help him go up the stairs, I could lift his back legs to assist him ( not needed at this point), but I just apply very light pressure just so he knows I can help if he needs it and to keep him steady. It is very sturdy and soft where it comes in contact with my pup. If you have large older dogs I recommend this highly.

Easy to use
I have an older, arthritic pitbull and she's more than half my weight. This enables me to help her walk up the steps to our bedroom at night. I was afraid that the handles might be too long for me to use because I'm only 5'3" tall. However, I can use this easily, as can my 6'-tall husband. It seems to be comfortable for my dog too, as she now waits at the bottom of the steps, wagging her tail and barking, for a lift.I still have difficulty assisting her going down the steps, though. When I tried to use this while she's going down, she would topple over forward. It won't quite stay on her short, barrel-chest when going down; it slips down under her tummy to where I'm only supporting her hind legs. Also, the problem may just be with her: as soon as I place this under her and start down the steps, she wants to climb down faster than me. So as she moves downward a step ahead of me, it then slips.Overall, this is helpful in assisting her up the stairs and supporting her hind legs and lower spinal area.

Disabled Dog
This was a good buy and super fast delivery. It was right before Christmas and my 17yrs old dog was really having a hard time with her arthritis. I looked at many things online and everything was saying it couldn't be here till the 28th. I found this. I ordered it at night and Amazon had it to me before lunch the next day. This is made for a wide weight size of dogs. Mine is just under 50lbs and there's plenty of room for a large dog. It's been very helpful getting here around, but kind of hard holding her up to balance and trying to lead her the way I want her to go. It's well made and does the job, but at her stage she needs something a bit different, but this was forsure a good buy and will beable to use it for her around the house and future dogs.

Very helpful, well made
I know everyone will say you can just use a towel to help them out, but towels are not as long, and don't have handles!!!We have a 70 lb dog, and needed help holding him up when injured.Well made, no strings coming off, feels strong and secure. Soft inner lining so doesn't chafe the dog's skin. It is nice looking. The handle straps are a separate strap that is sewn to the outer material, and goes all the way across the harness, and makes us feel more secure counting on the harness to help hold up the dog without ever ripping or breaking. Not anything against the way it is made, just an observation- hard to get out of the way for the dog to tinkle because that is precisely where the harness goes. Lots of sliding it out of the way quick to make sure he can 'go' without drenching the harness.Glad to have this, very helpful

Works Great for My Dog who has Degenerative Myelopathy
Due to the complications that DM brings to dogs in the early stages, my Boxer pup (8 Years Old, 60 lbs.) is losing strength and confidence in her back legs. Our house is set up so that she needs to go downstairs to go outside and getting her down the stairs was a challenge, and I was not able to help much. I looked a full-body harnesses and even just rear harnesses but was not comfortable leaving her in something like that full-time. Not to mention that those harnesses can run 3-5 times more from a cost perspective. After receiving this sling I immediately put it to the test and while she was not comfortable with it at first, she has become very good with it. I can assist her in traversing down the stairs and have the added comfort of knowing that if she loses her footing I can support her so she doesn't fall. The padding underneath does not rub her or cause discomfort. I am very happy with my purchase and as much as I hate to say it, this product will probably outlive my girl. Maybe I can pass it on to someone else who needs it. Highly recommended to anyone needing to assist their dogs with mobility.

Amazingly simple product & a Godsend for our puppy
My oversight senior lab mix suffered from arthritis & then suffered a back injury. She could not stand & walk & was only able to move by dragging her back legs. Using this sling I was able to take outside to go to the bathroom as well as let her walk as much as she was able. Her vet recommended a weight loss regime along with glucosamine, ifkarprofen & gabbapentin. After two weeks her back had been able to heal due to using the sling to go outside & to due minimal exercise. She hasn't needed the sling for the last six weeks, has lost seven lbs & is happy & active again. Although she was healthy except for her arthritis & back injury I was being told I would need to put her down. Thank goodness for this simple yet amazing product. Very well made & easy to use. As you can imagine from our experience I can't recommend it enough!!!

Almost perfect
So the build quality is amazing and the piece that touches the skin is nice and soft however i bout this to help lift my dog off the ground due to bad hips and this does not help at all once she is up it's great to have so she doesn't fall I let her do the walking and have the sling barely touching that way if her hips give out at any point or she slips on the tile floor I can catch her so bottom line I would not recommend if you need help lifting however I would definitely recommend for safety

could use a strap or something to help secure it so it doesn't slide off
overall, this was pretty helpful for our dog when she was failing. Fine for lifting, but it did slide off her a couple of times as I had to pull her or try not to drag her. Even came in handy when a family member fell and had to have some help lifting them up.
