Growing up, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle was one of my favorite stories to read to myself. And at that time, I didn't realize that I was reading the ONLY kind of books that I would enjoy reading to my child. So, when I discovered my son was having problems with reading, I was given some of those horrible books to read to him.... you know... those books that have NO HEART in them.So, imagine my surprise when I finally ordered my first set of Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books, and not only did my son enjoy reading them, but I enjoyed reading them to him as a parent.These stories are the only stories that he will put his tablet down for!

Bought these books for my grandchildren.

In 2020 I started reading to my grandkids who don't live near me. We call it "Grandma Story Time". I bought these books when I was running out of books I had on hand. My 6 year old granddaughter absolutely LOVES these books. These are the only books she requests. She says she will NEVER get tired of these stories. The chapters are just the right length for a bedtime story through video chat. And since the chapters are independent stories, you don't have to worry about continuity of the story flow if it is days or weeks between story times.

The Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books were my very favorite as a young one, and I was excited to be able to get the complete set. I don't have grandchildren yet, but I can't wait to read these to them! (Although I'm perfectly happy waiting for grandkids, so if my 2 single boys are reading this, WRAP THAT RASCAL!!!!!!!!) I am even making a series of videos of me reading these - not to sell - but so if I get hit by a bus, my future grand-young'ins can still have me read these stories to them. Oh, and to this day, I still eat my oatmeal the way Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle says to eat it!!!

I read these growing up and I wanted to read them with my children. I still laugh out loud reading them. Good lessons in there for the children to read as well.

I read these books to my children when they were young. Each chapter features a different annoying habit that a mother seeks out Mrs. Piggle Wiggle to solve. It's obvious that the author knows children well and when she magnifies the habit to a ridiculous level, kids love it and also see a tendency toward some of the habits in themselves. How clever! I bought this set for my seven and nine year old and they are big fans!

I grew up reading these books - so I was incredibly excited to find them for my daughter. The covers are different from what I had growing up but other than that they are exactly the same! We are having so much fun reading the stories together.

Awesomely funny and quirky books. These books will have you take a step back to a simpler time of the 1940s-50s (think Leave It to Beaver times). Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle’s cures are so imaginative and the names so funny that my daughter and I can’t wait to read the next chapter each night. These were written a long time ago, so some of the words and inferences are no longer used, but I like that it gives me a chance to broaden my daughter’s vocabulary and knowledge.
