It's ok if this requires some apps/settings on the phone.** A: As per prior answers, you can set this up. I did this on a GS4 running lollipop. In Google Now settings, under Voice, enable Bluetooth headset to record audio. I use Google Play music, and didn't change anything there. With music playing, press the button once, this pauses the music. Then hold the button down until it beeps, you have to turn the phone back on to enable the bluetooth device to activate Google Now (from notifications). Repeat the process, now you can activate Google Now voice input with the screen off with the long-press (remembering to pause music with the initial press). I did have a project to enable my BMW BT, but I don't see the point now. The combo of the BTC450, Google Play Music and Google Now beats what my car would be able to do. **Q: How long is the wire from the BT button end to the power unit/aux ends?** A: Dear John,Thank you for your question regarding our Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit. The aux cable and power cable lengths are 11.5 inches and the overall length is 48.5 inches. Please contact us at support@kinivo.com if you have any additional questions. Whenever you are listening to your car radio (AM/FM), the ringing will not be heard. The car music system has to be set to "AUX" for the ringing to be heard through the car. As other users have mentioned, most cars will power off their cigarette lighter port when the car is shut off. This will power off BTC450 as well.We hope this answers your questions.
