It's whispered that ancient masonic scrolls teach that a drop of olive oil rubbed in with a kitchen towel will restore some of the lustre and, as a bonus, protect the hammer from inclement environments. Oooo-eeer missus. 20oz is fine unless your name is Popeye. I would recommend this weight as it gives the strength needed to cut masonry whilst keeping enough dexterity for more delicate work. Excellent cushioned handle which does absorb most of the impact forces and the finely machined cutting head is both effective and precise. I have used Estwing hammers for years and have never been disappointed at their performance and longevity.
