Lower Back PAIN + NO RETURN / NO PICKUP within the 100 days! Total SCAM!
When I first received the mattress, I was in LOVE. Felt like I was floating. Sadly, within about 2 months, it started to sink and get a little wobbly in feel. (I'm a side / stomach sleeper, about 200 lbs). I'm at about Day 85 of my 100 day test and my lower back is killing every day so time to return this.Contact Amazon support and they told me that the return window expired a month after I purchased it. Called Casper and they were incredibly flippant and patronizing on the phone. Told me to go to Amazon. Nothing they could do.So neither Amazon nor Casper will apparently HONOR the advertised commitment listed here. You've all be WARNED.Of course, I'm not giving up that easily. But know what you're getting here. And seriously wonder whether these reviews are all real.Update: I've spent hours trying to get this resolved. Been transferred and (accidentally?) hung up on multiple times. Told by several customer service representatives that Amazon will NOT pick up the item. Also told that they might pick up the item if it is wrapped up / packaged in essentially the same condition that it was received in. REALLY?Trust me. Do NOT order this from Amazon under any circumstances if you ever think that you might need to return it.Call Amazon yourself and you will see what I’m saying is accurate.

Quantitative Proof I Sleep Better on a Casper - Ruined my Sex Life
First I feel obligated to write this review because I saw that all of the top reviews on Amazon were all negative and I just can't understand how that is the case. I understand different people have different preferences, and maybe that is the case here, but I was surprised to see this.My wife and I have always loved memory foam mattresses to begin with. We love how they contour around your body and give you that "hug" feeling. Before a Casper we owned a memory foam mattress made by Serta that was sold at Sams Club. The queen size was approx. $400. We liked it, but it definitely got hot at times like the "typical" memory foam mattress. We moved and decided we wanted to upgrade to a King mattress and started shopping. We decided on a Casper based on many reviews I had read and also comparison done by sleepopolis of the various online mattresses like Tuft and Needle, Purple, and the likes. My top two choices were between Tuft and Needle and Casper. Tuft and Needle was cheaper but it also seemed like it was a cheaper mattress, it only had two different foam layers, the top layer and the base layer. The Casper had 5 different types of foam and looked like a higher quality product (photos on sleepopolis). Both had 100 night trials so I figured I'd start with one and try the other if I didn't like it.We bought Casper on a lightning deal on Amazon for $899 King size, which is a steal about 3 months ago! Once it was delivered we put it out on our platform bed base and let it rise, it did not seem to take very long, a day at most, for it to be full size. The cover is removable and very soft and comfortable. First thing I noticed is this memory foam mattress had a lot more bounce to it than my last mattress, but still had the contouring effect that we like.I hardly noticed a bad smell, and I have very good smell/taste senses. Any smell that was there was gone within a day or two. The mattress definitely keeps you cool and I have never felt hot on it once. I would give the mattress an overall soft feel but still with firm support from the base layers. It is extremely comfortable. Make sure not to use a waterproof mattress cover because this bed has breathable foam and when you cover it with a mattress cover like that it seemed to ruin the softness and breath-ability of the mattress as a whole because not matter how "breathable" a waterproof mattress protector is, it still cannot move air through it the way this mattress was designed to work. We stuck with just the cover that is on it with a fitted sheet. My wife has lupus and that means her joints and muscles can hurt a lot as if she had run a marathon from just daily life. My wife has told me that at night all that pain goes away and when she wakes up after sleeping on this mattress she feels rejuvenated and ready for another day. I am not exaggerating. I have noticed a difference in her frequency and severity of comments about pain, they have both lessened significantly. I also have lower back pain, but this mattress helps relieve it, not create it. I wake up with no pain in my back whatsoever when sleeping on this mattress and I sleep on side, stomach, and back. I feel that at all times I am supported and my spine is aligned. Now for the quantitative proof. I have a fitbit that tracks my sleep. It does this through heart rate monitoring. It tracks how much time you spend in each phase of sleep from awake, light, REM, and deep sleep. With my previous mattress I would get around 14% deep sleep and I would be awake about 18%. I have slept on this mattress for 3 months, and now my average deep sleep has increased to 18% (sometimes getting as high as 22%) and my awake has decreased to 14% (with lows in the 10%). This means I am spending less time consciously or unconsciously awake and more time in deep sleep on a Casper mattress. Most the time, if you are tossing and turning it is because there are pressure points on your body where you are laying and you are moving to a new position because that pressure was too much and began to be uncomfortable and so you move to alleviate it. There are nights I go to bed and basically don't move from the position I fell asleep in because that pressure is being relived by the mattress and you really do feel like you are just sleeping on a cloud. I know that sounds cliche but there is no better way to explain it.We joke about how this bed ruined our sex life because it is so comfortable and inviting that when you lay down on it, you instantly want to fall asleep, causing us to miss out on other activities.A few complaints. Because the mattress comes rolled and compressed in a box, when unfolding and allowing to come to full size, I did have to adjust the cover and the corners were a bit squished on one side (the inner side of the compressed rolled up mattress) almost to deformity, but they have since recovered, but this took weeks to occur. The mattress is breathable and the latexy foam on the top does transfer a bit of motion only when one person is laying down already, and another gets onto the bed, you get a very slight feel of the bed "adjusting" to both of you, almost like an air mattress, but a lot less aggressive. Once the person is on the bed though, normal movements at night like rolling over and stuff cannot be felt between companions.Overall we are very happy with our purchase and will be keeping it. We love this mattress. I am honestly confused with these negative reviews because we love it so much. Just try it for yourself, you have nothing to lose, they will come pick it up within 100 nights if you don't like it, and yes the warranty period does apply to Amazon purchases, my current purchase says it is still eligible for return until Oct 13 2018 and I received it July 5, exactly 100 days after it was delivered.

Better for sleeping alone
This mattress is very comfortable when sleeping alone. When sleeping with another source of weight, yes including your dog, it seems to cave in towards one another. I wake up feeling great and refreshed when I sleep alone but when I sleep with the dog in my bed, I wake up with an achy back. It’s like it sucks you towards the other source of weight in your bed.The mattress does seem to keep you cool and doesn’t transfer motion. Seems to contour to your body so you don’t toss and turn as much. I would rate this mattress 4-5 stars if I always slept alone.

Cheap construction, great marketing.
Smells horrible for a week. Softer than expected which is bad after back surgery. Edges have no support. I bought the sheets, duvet and all and the quality isn't what they advertise. It's mediocre and the sheets son't stay in place on edges, grays don't match. Looked amazing in the ads, but it's not great for the price

Don’t by casper
We read several reviews and decided to give Casper a Try. The result was terrible. The mattress is crocked, and tilts up on every corner, the different foam layers are uneven. The only positive thing about our experience, was buying this through amazon, that took care of us as customers.Casper’s call center and service, said their was nothing to be done, about a defaulty mattress because it was not handled directly by them.Terrible service and product.

Chemical smell doesn't go away
It is comfortable but it stinks! The chemical smell is still there after 75 days...I've washed the sheets and the mattress protector many times hoping to help it but still gives me a headache.

Highly recommend this bed!
We are so pleased with this bed! We originally bought the Tuft & Needle bed, but while it seemed well made, it was much, much too firm for us. We took advantage of the money back guarantee and received a full refund from Amazon. At that point, we purchased the Casper. It to is a firm bed with lots of support, but has enough softness on the surface to eliminate pressure points. This is important for my girlfriend, who has Fibromyalgia and Arthritis. Since buying this bed three months ago, she has not woken up in pain a single time.
