Some people have all the luck. Unfortunately, Clay isn't one of them: He's the only camper at Earth Ranch without a magical talent. As if feeling totally useless isn't enough, Clay has to figure out what to do about Brett, a castaway boy who has just washed ashore and is determined to keep his presence a secret. Even as Clay helps his new friend hide in the remote volcanic island's wilderness, another fiery mystery begins to emerge, with all signs pointing to the impossible idea that dragons once roamed the island...and may still. Can Clay and his friends turn their luck around in time to uncover Price Island's secrets--and save it from a scorching end? Danger, adventure, mischief, mystery, old foes, new friends, and a delightfully elusive narrator make bestselling author Pseudonymous Bosch's latest novel completely irresistible. Review: Enjoyable for pre-teen to adults. - This was a wonderful series and a perfect "kinda" sequel to his "Perfect Series" books. My 12 yr old daughter read the whole series to me over a video chat app and she loved the story, the way it was written, his humor, the characters and she cried when it was over. She still likes talking about it. I really hope he writes another series and incorporates some of the characters from the storyline as he did with this series. It was also a good opportunity for my daughter (who is an excellent reader) to learn some new words and proper pronunciations. Occasionally, the author uses some bigger words in appropriate places. This could be a little challenging for say, a nine year old who reads on an average grade level. However, that wouldn't stop a preteen from understanding and enjoying the story. Good job Pseudonymous Bosch! Review: Adventurous Story - I'm always on the lookout for a great series for my daughter so I jumped at the chance to read Bad Luck. I was no disappointed. I kept reminding myself the book is for kids, yet I really enjoyed it. I started telling my nine year old the story and she was quickly hooked and asking to read the novel. Bad Luck is a great mix of mystery, adventure, and best of all (for my daughter anyway) a dragon. I highly suggest this book to all the young readers who enjoy adventure and perhaps the older readers who enjoy a good read. *The novel was given to me by NetGalley for an honest review. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #389,734 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #463 in Children's Books on Boys' & Men's Issues #4,076 in Fantasy for Children #4,941 in Children's Action & Adventure Books (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 434 Reviews | ## Images ![Bad Luck (The Bad Books, 2) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/919DSR55CDL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enjoyable for pre-teen to adults. *by A***R on May 28, 2018* This was a wonderful series and a perfect "kinda" sequel to his "Perfect Series" books.
