About the Brand Kelly Flatley and Brendan Synnott, who became friends at age 11 while attending Middlesex Middle School in Darien, CT, are the business partners behind Bear Naked all-natural breakfast foods. Kelly first developed Bear NakedΒ’s original fruit-and-nut granola formula in July 2002 by baking whole ingredients in her parentsΒ’ kitchen and tweaking the recipe until it was perfect. She then labeled the concoction "Bear Naked" and started selling it at sidewalk sales and a couple of local markets. Her granola was plainly packaged in a clear plastic bag and hand-tied with a piece of hay. A month later, Brendan, on hiatus from his role as a talent manager for Saturday Night Live, started joining Kelly in the kitchen, the two cooking all through the night and selling their granola by day. In October 2002, Brendan and Kelly decided to move forward as business partners and Bear Naked was born. Over the next few months, the company really began to grow, and by the end of 2004, Bear Naked was distributing its products to more than 2,000 retailers in 25 states with 20 full-time employees. By August 2005, Bear Naked was the country's fastest-growing natural cereal brand, with the number one and number two selling granola products in the nation. The next month, Kelly, Brendan, and the entire Bear Naked team traveled to Washington, D.C., in their signature Bear Naked vans to launch a new line of breakfast products to retailers at the Natural Products Expo East. With an eye-catching display and abounding energy, the new Low-Sugar Cereals, All-Natural Oatmeal, and 100% Organic Hot Cereals debuted to rave reviews. Today, Bear Naked breakfast products can be found at retailers nationwide. And why the name "Bear Naked"? It simply reflects that the company's ingredients are all-natural and barely processed. In their words: "With our love for the outdoors and active lifestyles, our whole grain foods fuel our energy. When hiking we were thinking of names and thought 'hungry as a bear.' Thus "Bear Naked" was coined. Plus, it is very catchy." ## Features - A delicious blend of whole grain oats, brown sugar, roasted almonds, and vanilla flavor; Snack from the bag or enjoy in a bowl - Packed with irresistible flavors and bountiful chunks of goodness; Pairs perfectly with your favorite yogurt, smoothie, or fruit - Contains 28g of whole grains and 6g protein per serving; Non-GMO Project Verified; Kosher Pareve; Contains almond ingredients - Take-anywhere resealable bag makes the perfect portable healthy snack; Bowl it, palm it, bag it - Includes 1, 12oz bag of Bear Naked Vanilla Almond Crisp granola; Packaged for freshness and great taste ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000CROPGG | | ASIN | B000CROPGG | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Allergen Information | Almonds, Tree Nuts | | Best Sellers Rank | #16,236 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #56 in Granola | | Brand Name | Bear Naked | | Breakfast Cereal Type | Granola | | Container Type | Bag | | Cuisine | American | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (887) | | Diet Type | Kosher | | Flavor | V'Nilla Almond | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00856416000710, 10856416000717 | | Item Form | Cereal | | Item Package Weight | 2.32 kg | | Item Type Name | Granola | | Item Weight | 4.5 pounds | | Item model number | 85641600071 | | Manufacturer | Bear Naked | | Manufacturer | Bear Naked | | Model Number | 85641600071 | | Number of Items | 6 | | Number of Pieces | 6 | | Package Size Name | 12oz | | Part Number | 00071 | | Product Dimensions | 10.3 x 2.35 x 14.4 inches; 4.5 pounds | | Serving Style | Cold Cereal | | Set Name | Pack of 6 | | Size | 12 Ounce (Pack of 6) | | Specialty | Organic | | Sub Brand | Bear Naked | | Total Eaches | 6 | | Unit Count | 72 Ounce | | Units | 72 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** Bear Naked - **Flavor:** V'Nilla Almond - **Item Form:** Cereal - **Sub Brand:** Bear Naked ## Images ![Shop - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ee1Nd1lTL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Flavor** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this product glutens Free?** A: No, this product is not gluten free. **Q: bear naked granola with [1]fruit & nut [2]pecans &bananas[ 3]original or a;; tasting menu ok???** A: We love the fruit and nut so much that we started a subscription with amazon so we would never run out!
