The Leap chair adjusts to fit your body, so you don't have to adjust your body to fit the chair. Thanks to LiveBack technology, the Leap chair back flexes to change shape as your back changes shape, providing stable support and encouraging unrestricted movement. And with its simple and intuitive adjustments - like separate controls for Lower Back Firmness and Upper Back Force and adjustable armrests that move in four directions -it's easy to adjust your Leap chair to fit you comfortably for the entire day. Steelcase Leap chair complete features are pneumatic seat-height adjustment, variable back stop, height-width-pivot-depth adjustable arms, black plastic frame, shell, base and arms, adjustable lumbar support, hard casters and fabric. From the Manufacturer The streamlined, stylish contour of the Steelcase Leap chair is just the beginning. The Leap is the first chair that actually changes shape to support your movements! With its Live Back technology, it moves dynamically as your back moves, mimicking the movement of your spine; the arms of the chair move in and out, forward and back; the seat glides forward so you can recline without leaving your vision and reach zone, and stay oriented to your work. Even when leaning forward, the seat edge flexes to relieve pressure on the back of the legs. In short, the Leap chair's ergonomic advances allow you to work comfortably, and more productively, in a proven healthy manner for extended periods of time. Review: Worth the money - Wonderful chair for my 75-year-old husband (6'2"), who is tired of his back arthritis getting worse in these regular office chairs. It came full assembled from the company. One pointer that we didn't understand at first is that when you adjust the back to a reclining position, it comes back up when you sit up. So, we adjusted the strength of the upper back force, it's easy to lay back in the reclining position without any resistence. Review: More cushy than Aeron - I have access to an Aeron. The Aeron is a good chair, but I wanted something with depth adjustment. After research on alternatives, I settled on the Leap v2. I purchased it without trying it. It's a well-known brand and chair, so I expected it to be fine. I was not able to go to a showroom and try many chairs, so I after reading reviews, I thought this would be my best bet without trying them. + It has seat depth adjustment + The seat cushion is very cushy, yet supportive. I think it's comfortable. + The back support is height adjustable, but it's very simple. + Arm rests are adjustable: in/out, forward/back, up/down. - It is not super adjustable - Some parts - back adjustment, and bottom of seat - are plasticky and feel cheap. - Doesn't have the name-recognition and looks of the Aeron. - Expensive if buying for yourself With the adjustments available, it is comfortable for me. After receiving it, I sat it in all day, every day for work-from-home. I did not get any back or neck pains that I sometimes get with other new chairs. Overall, it's comfortable for me and I like it. ## Features - Leap owns a reputation as our most classic chair, providing customizable support whatever your body shape or style of work - Leap is designed with our Natural Glide System, allowing the seat to glide back and forth as you recline - keeping your posture in check and you closer to your work surface - Featuring 3D LiveBack technology, Leap mimics the natural shape of your spine, allowing the chair to contour to your needs and provide the perfect amount of lumbar support regardless of your seating position - Leap includes a lower back firmness dial that allows you to customize your sitting experience with just the right amount of lumbar support - We are seating experts. The Aeron is a good chair, but I wanted something with depth adjustment. After research on alternatives, I settled on the Leap v2. I purchased it without trying it. Over time, I found that I was shifting position in my chair a lot and the seat wasn't comfortable for a full 8+ hours. I also found that my neck started to hurt toward the end of the day. I decided to buy the Steelcase Leap V2 chair because it was top-ranked and was the most adjustable variant of the recommended options. I had no way to test it in person, so this was important to me. I decided to buy from Amazon because the price was substantially lower than other outlets, which actually concerned me. I was concerned the chair might be refurbished (not new), but my concerns were unwarranted. The chair arrived and it is brand new. It arrived in an official Steelcase box, preassembled, with the original plastic/shipping protection. My initial experience with the chair has been very good. The first day did take a little getting used to. I was surprised to find that my back ached and my sides hurt a little. I presume it was because the chair was forcing me to sit properly, engaging my core muscles properly versus my old chair. Fortunately, the aches went away after the first day and since then, I find that I no longer get any neck or back pain. I have had the chair for about 2 months now and I no longer think about chair comfort, which means it works! Had I the chance to do it over, I'd buy it again. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a job that requires them to sit for extended periods of time. ## Frequently Bought Together - Steelcase Leap Office Chair - Seven Points of Adjustability - Ergonomic Back Support Chair - Lumbar Support - 4D Adjustable Arms - Black Frame - Buzz2 Black Fabric - Lifelong Original Office Chair Wheels (As Seen On CNN) Replacement Rubber Chair Casters for Hardwood Floors and Carpet, Set of 5, Heavy Duty Casters for Chairs to Replace Office Chair Mats - Fits 98% - The Office Oasis Original Rollerblade Office Chair Wheels (As Seen On PBS) - Smooth & Quiet Casters - Safe for Hardwood Floors & Carpet - Easy Installation with Universal Fit - Set of 5 - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://frenchpolynesia.desertcart.com/products/12379193-leap](https://frenchpolynesia.desertcart.com/products/12379193-leap) --- *Product available on Desertcart French Polynesia* *Store origin: PF* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
